"Thank you so much Mr. Cavanaugh" i say to Toby's dad as we get the girls settled in.
"Anytime" he smiles back
"D-dats Daddys's Daddy?" Elissa asks,
"Yes baby, remember Daddy and I told you we have to go out so you are going to stay here until we get back"
"Yes" she nods.
"Ok so the deal about this bird is that Elissa can't go anywhere new without it. That bird is her best friend. Sometimes i think she likes him better then her sister and cousins" i laugh
"if she asks to play with Paulie just let her play with him. Just make sure he's locked away properly. We lost that bird once and she was a mess. My father bought it for her when she was 1. She loved the bird. It's been there with her through her rough times so it's kind of her support you know?"
"Yeah i get it Spencer its fine. The bird is fine here if it makes my granddaughter happy"
"Thank you"
"How come I couldn't bring Cammy?" Mia pouts
"Because your grandpa is allergic to dogs but it's okay cause Aunty Melissa is watching her okay?"
"Okay" Mia sighs
"Well we should get going" Toby says
Mia and Elissa runs in attacking both of our legs.
"Be good, stay safe, Listen to grandma and grandpa. I will see you soon ok" i say as i kiss their cheeks, squeezing them into a tight hug
"Moooom" Mia groans
"Too tight!" Elissa mutters
"It has to be tight in hugging you with all my love"
"How bout you hug us with half your love next time." Mia replies and I chuckle as I loosen my grip
"My l-life flashes b-before my eyes" Elissa adds
"Yeah almost killed us there mom" Mia continues and I roll my eyes
"My two drama queens" I chuckle and they giggle
"We get it you're gonna miss us but you're never gonna leave if you don't let go!" Mia says as I quickly press kisses all over both their faces
"One day when you're older you're gonna miss all of mamas kisses and hugs"
"Can't miss them if you're never gonna stop" she continues
"Y-yeah. We are g-gonna get married a-a-and you're gonna a-act the same way. Y-you say m-m-mothers love l-lasts f-f-forever" Elisha states
"Oh hush up. Sometimes you guys are too much like me for your own good. Stop having my type of responses to statements" I chuckle as they hug me tightly before moving on to Toby.
"We love you daddy!" They both say as they hug him
He squats down to their level and hugs them back
"I love you too girlies"
"Good luck with crazy coffee lady" Mia pretends to whisper
I gasp "wow, crazy coffee lady. Alright missy I'll remember that one" I raise my eyebrow and she giggles
"It's o-okay mama. You a-a-are crazy c-coffee lady b-b-b-but we s-still love you f-for it" Elissa gives a toothy grin and I shake my head with a smile on my face
"Just say goodbye to your father. Leave the crazy coffee lady alone"
"Thanks for wishing me luck M. I'm taking one for the team. Make a break for it while you can" Toby adds and I push his head causing the girls to laugh
