"Char, I gotta tell you something" I mutter, I wanna share my pregnancy with her she's basically my sister. She's been part of the family for a decade plus I need to talk to someone about it.
"I um. I'm-" I start as the door opens
"We're here!" Hanna sings as she enters the house with Aria, Alison, Emily, Grace and Lilly.
"Hey Aunty Spence, hi Aunty Char" the girls greet us
"Hey cuties" Charlotte smirks
"Hey girlies" I smile.
They head downstairs as the girls get settled
"Food smells great" Emily practically moans
"Thanks" Charlotte chuckles
"So, has Toby headed to my house yet?" Hanna asks me.
Toby, Caleb and Ezra are having a guys night while we have a girls night here.
I mean technically it was supposed to be a family night but Caleb wanted to take Toby out for relief after everything and Toby actually wanted to go, I'm not gonna say no, he deserves this. Life is just starting to be normal again.
"No, he's coming home to change first, he texted me about ten mins ago that he's leaving in 5"
"So, where are the drinks? What games we doing?" Alison asks
I forgot to get drinks. I can't drink, it didn't even cross my mind.
Hanna widens her eyes, trying to pass a signal to Alison
"I totally forgot to get alcohol, I have some stuff in the basement, probably touched though" I mumble
"Spencer forgetting booze? That's odd" Aria chuckles
"Yeah sorry it's been a long day, I sat with Marilyn and did some debriefing, Char picked the girls up for me and I came home and started cooking" I defend, not a total lie
"You're good girlie, I'll grab them" Aria nods as she pats my shoulder before heading downstairs
"Im so sorry Spence I totally forgot" Alison apologizes
"Forgot what?" Charlotte asks
"Good going Ali" Emily sighs
"It's fine I was gonna tell her. So um Aria doesn't know but im pregnant"
"Oh my God! How far along?"
"Im not sure, I found out when Yvonne died. I haven't been to a doctor." I admit
"Oh so we don't know if it's..."
"Yeah exactly" I mumble
"It's gonna be okay Spence." She nods as she comes to hug me
"Im sorry why was this kept from me?" Aria asks as she comes up the stairs.
"Creeping much?" Hanna rolls her eyes
"Well no I grabbed 4 bottles and came up the stairs, heard you say I don't know so I stopped on the third step and listened. Why couldn't you tell me?" She asks
"Aria" I sigh, not wanting to get into this
"No no, come on Spencer, everyone in this room knows but I can't. Why's that?"
"Aria you can't act like you don't know why" Alison states
"I wanna hear the reason" she says as she places the bottles on the counter
