Melissa's POV
From the night that i met Lyra and she told me about her real motive, i had a gut feeling that it was all going to be in her favor

I was a little skeptical at first, i mean who expects a daughter to help someone else get revenge from her own father right?

But as weird as it sounds, its the truth

My father isn't all glitter and gold- in fact he's really selfish

We've never had a good relationship because of how he has treated me and my mother, even when she was on her death bed

He got me married to a famous lawyer for his own good, just so that one day when he finally gets into trouble for his shady business- his son in law can help him

I love Jacob, he treats me right but knowing that he married me solely because of my father's name and power- it makes me feel like I'm an object thats being passed around

He is also part of the reason why i wanted to help Lyra- i wanted to make Jacob realize that I'm so much more worth than just a rich man's daughter and i can take stand on my own

Meeting Lyra that night was like the perfect timing because it had been far too long that i had let my dad control me

Now it was time

Time for him to see, and me to destroy him.

Lyra's POV
"Victoria Todorov" i said and everyone looked at everyone

"The famous painter. Owns billion dollar art galleries in the world's most famous cities. Has shady dealings and ties to Mafia" Arthur explained her background as he looked at her

"Seems like someone did their homework" Melissa mocked him jokingly and he smirked

"We go way back. She tried to frame me into her money laundering schemes" he explained

"She frames people into what now-?" Andrew asked in disbelief

"Money laundering. She uses her art galleries and paintings as a front cover to save a visit from the income tax collectors for tax money evasion. Only the close people to her have known for years that she's being avoiding paying taxes which almost sum up to a trillion dollars now" i explained to everyone and both Andrew and Melissa's jaw dropped open

"Woah, and i thought she was the sweetest of them all" Melissa said

"She is actually, her crimes are nothing compared to the other two" i said as i opened her file

all three of them glanced at the file, looking through specific pages that listed evidence for each of her crimes

"How did you even manage to get a hand on it all? This is such inside information" Arthur said a little impressed and i smiled

"Turns out being dead for 3 years really brings you sympathy" i said and he looked at me, his eyes sparkly

"This is insane. Even I wasn't able to get this much crap on her" he said a little angrily

"Well, its a good thing we teamed up because I'm open to ideas about how to proceed with revenge" i said and he nodded

"I would love to help you" he said

"So what are we exactly doing with all this information?" Melissa finally put down the file and asked me

"Well for starters, we're not going to use any of it" i said

"Then?" Andrew asked

"We're going to attack what she loves the most, and then-"

"We're going to target her weakness and blackmail her into doing all the work for us" Arthur completed my sentence, reading my mind like a psychic

"Bingo" i smirked as they looked at me

"Such a classic way to get revenge. I'm impressed Lyra" Arthur put his file down and looked at everyone

"But whats the thing she loves the most?" Melissa asked

"Her paintings" Andrew spoke this time and i nodded

"You're right. She loves her paintings because they're the only reason why she can evade taxes in the first place" Arthur explained and both me and Melissa nodded

"So do we expose her? Or do we threaten her or?-"

"We burn them" i cut through the assumptions and suddenly, everyone was quite

"We burn the whole art gallery?" Andrew asked, a sparkle playing in his eyes

"Its the fastest way to make her fear us, so why not?" I said and Arthur nodded

"The paintings in her Milano Art Museum are worth more than a billion dollars- burning that whole building down would bring her to her knees, begging and crying to us for help" he said

"And when we have at her vulnerable feet, we can use that opportunity to make her do anything for us"
