Arthur's POV
as soon as i got to the hospital, i made my way to the operation room
"Where are you going?" A lady stopped me in the front and i looked at her
"Im looking for a patient, Lyra" i said and she turned her eyes to the screen, scanning the name
"There's no one with that name here" she said and i furrowed my brows
"What do you mean?" I asked confused- for all I remembered was that the policeman told me they were coming here
"I checked the ICU as well as the other rooms, none of them holds a patient named Lyra" she said
"When was she bought?" she asked again
"It was recent, like 30 minutes ago?" I said and she went down to typing again
"Its that ambulance that never made it here" she muttered slowly but i heard it
"What do you mean?" I asked and her eyes turned wide, as if she was afraid
"Im asking something" i said, my voice darker
"A- a while ago we were told that an ambulance was coming here with a woman who had gotten into a horrible accident" she said and i nodded
"but-"
"but what?"
"But that ambulance never made it here" she explained and all the last bit of calm in my body dropped to a zero
"what? Where did it go then?" I asked panicking a little
"Thats what the hospital members are trying to find out" she said nervously and i clenched my fist
"ARTHUR" someone's yell echoed across the hall and i turned to see a furious Andrew running to me
"Lyra isn't here, we weren't able to find the ambulance either. Its like- like it disappeared" he said confused and suddenly- it started to make sense
"Find that policeman that was at the crime scene, find out where he lives" i said as i walked outside
I hurriedly ran to my car, dialing a number simultaneously
She picked up as soon as the first ring went
"Is she okay?" Melissa asked and i sighed
"She's missing" i said as i revved the car out of the parking
"What do you mean?" She said confused
"Listen to me closely. Jacob kidnapped Lyra. She's in a really critical condition so I don't want Jacob to know that we think its him- he might do something crazy to her" i said and Melissa let out a sigh on the other end
"Act normal around him. I'm coming in 2 minutes" i said
"You're coming here?" She said confused and i ended the call
We can have this conversation in person
I quickly pulled into her driveway, only to see one car
"F*ck, did he leave?" I immediately ran to the the front door, ringing the bell furiously
Jacob opened the door and suddenly- anger took upon me
I grabbed his collar and dragged him inside the house, slamming his back against the wall
"You fu*king bas-ard" i yelled in his face as he tried to free himself
"Where is she?" I asked and he looked at me confused
Until realization hit his face
"She doesn't have too much time anyways" he said with a smirk and i punched his face
"You fu*king-" he dropped to his knee, caressing his almost broken nose
Melissa ran over to us as she looked at Jacob
"I just got a call from Andrew, he said he found some policeman" she said and i nodded
"No no that can't be" Jacob tried to stand up, but i punched him again
"I will take care of you" i said as i dialed another number
In a few minutes, my men had surrounded this property
"Take him to our special room, and give him good company" i said as they dragged Jacob out of his house
"I need to go" i said to Melissa
"Wait, take me with you" she said, kind of scared
"It's dangerous" i said
"I will do it for Lyra" she said and i silently battled within my brain
"Okay whatever" i said and we both ran out of the house
