Arthur's POV
Usually I'm not someone that goes crazy while looking for someone
But when its someone you love, you don't always have a conscious mind
I just hope she's okay, its all i pray for
My occupied train of thoughts finally faded, as a house came into view
"This is it" Melissa spoke from the passenger seat and i pulled into the driveway
There was only one car, and i hoped it was his
I walked to the front door with Melissa hot on my heels
I knocked on the door loudly, waiting for a response anxiously
After a few seconds, the ruffling of keys was heard, and a small boy opened the door
Melissa immediately grabbed my wrist, backing me
She leveled herself with the kid, softly patting his hair
"Is your dad home?" She asked softly and the kid smiled
"He's packing" the kid said joyfully
"we're going to disney land" the kid beamed in joy and Melissa shot me a look
"You take care of it" i walked past Melissa who kept the kid indulged in her sweet talks
I walked to the one room that was omitting light outside, and as soon as i stepped in front of it
I was met with his face
He was panting heavily, a bag in his right hand, and a few envelopes in his left
"Am I interrupting something?" I asked, raising an eyebrow
His face went pale as he dropped the bag from his hand, causing his wife to run outside from
The bathroom
As soon as the bag fell, a tonne of money fell from it, and i smirked a little
So this is what happened
"Whats-" she stopped short as she looked at me, and I recognized her
"You-" i tried to recall her, and suddenly it hit me
"Aren't you Jacob's assistant?" I said, digging up a past memory
The woman stopped in her tracks, her eyes drifting to her husband
"Listen please" he dropped on his knees suddenly, holding my leg
"Don't do anything to us, we were blackmailed" he said and blood shot through my eyes
"You risked someone's life. F-ck that. You risked the life of my love, you think i will let you go?" I said as my eyes grew darker- anger building inside me.
"Please i-" he fell short on words and i smiled
"Nothing to say uh, i guess its good because I'm in no mood to change my mind today" i said grabbing his collar
"We will be back" i said dragging him out of the room
"Or not" i said as we exited the front door and Melissa quickly transported the kid inside the house
She said something to the woman, and then hurried over to the car
"Tell me quick, where did you take her?" I asked him
"I don't know" he lied and i picked up the gun from my dashboard
"I will ask again. Where did you take her?" I said and he gulped
"It was a house" he said
"Where?"
"Outside the city" he said again
"Whats the address?" I asked him again and he looked at Melissa
"what?" She said confused and he gulped
"He asked me not to tell you" the man said looking at Melissa
"Who did? What are you talking about?" I said confused- losing my patience
"Gabriel"
