Lyra's POV
"Jacob" Melissa said and I immediately stiffened

Shit. What if he somehow recognizes me

"I think i should leave" I whispered to Melissa and we both hurriedly got up as Jacob made his way to us

Just when i picked my bags and turned around, my eyes met his

"Hello" he said in a calm tone, and then his gaze traveled to his wife

"What are you doing here babe?" He asked Melissa, completely ignoring me

For once, i was thankful for this attitude from him- because the last thing i wanted was to be recognized

"I was just shopping" she gestured to her hand bags and he nodded

From behind him, i signed to Melissa that I'm going to leave and she nodded, without making it obvious

I tiptoed quickly out of there and soon, i was out of the mall

I ran to my car and quickly put my bags in the car, then drove outside the mall

Once halfway across, I texted Melissa and she told me she was going home with Jacob and would contact me later

"Thank god" i muttered and then drove home

It was almost sunset by the time i got there, and so I didn't have much time to spare

I quickly took a shower and did my hair, then proceeded to do a clean makeup look

I then picked out a maroon long sleeve velvet dress and paired it with heels

I was doing final touches when Arthur's name popped on the screen

"Im here" he said as soon as i picked up and I quickly made my way outside

I opened the door and my eyes met his

He was casually leaning against his car, a Ferrari

"Thats one fancy car" i walked over to him and his eyes took me in

"You look beautiful" he said, not shying away

"You don't look too shabby yourself" i said and he laughed

"May i?" He opened the car door for me and helped me get seated

Then made his way to the driver's seat

And soon, we were off to his club

I don't know why, but with this treatment he was giving me- i felt like we were on a date

That thought made me blush and i lowered my head a little to hide my face

"You good?" Arthur's voice made me straighten back up

"Yea" i said and he nodded

"Are you scared of speed?" He asked me

"Why" i narrowed my eyes at him and he gave me innocent eyes

"Well no-"

My words were left hanging when his sudden step on the accelerator roared the car into flames

The car crossed 120 in no time, and it was only increasing

Even though I wasn't scared of speed, the engine roaring and his driving skills were making my heart pound and I unintentionally placed my hand over his

He removed his hand from under mine and i was about to remove mine as well, when he placed his hand over mine and intertwined our fingers

I looked at him but in this darkness, the only source of light was the moonlight that was reflecting over his face- barely visible

Even in this darkness, i could see his sparkly eyes and faint smile- and with my pounding heart, it was like i was back into my teenage years

The feeling lasted for a good few minutes and then, we finally got to the club

Arthur pulled to the upmost front, away from the crowd of people that were standing in a queue, waiting to get inside

Upon seeing him, a valet driver ran to him and he tossed him the keys and got to my side

We made our way inside and i was instantly met with the party music and neon lights

But unlike other overhyped clubs that had blasting music and irritating lights, this one was far better

The music was loud, but enough that i could hear the next person

The lights were decent and the dance floor was humungous which meant no one was sticking close to one another and instead enjoying their own space

"Lets go" Arthur led me up the staircase and we ended up in a faintly lit hallway

"Where are we going?" I asked confused as the music fainted from around me and i realized we were going away from the party

"Trust me" he said as he entered some combinations on the door and soon, the doors slid open

Revealing a hidden room

The room was big enough and barely had anything in it- or thats what i thought

Across the other end, was a glass made wall that was like a one sided mirror

I could see everything from the room, but I remembered not seeing this room from down there

The door behind us closed and the room lights came on

"This is beautiful" i said as I observed everything

"Its just your type isn't it" he said to me, walking to the liquor cabinet

He poured us a drink and then handed me a glass, as we stared at the dance floor

"Its really nice" i said as i took a sip

"It is indeed beautiful" he said and i looked at him, to find him already looking at me

"So why am i here again?" I asked him and he smiled

"You know everything don't you?" He chuckled

"I mean you're inviting me to your own club, it's obviously a trap" i joked with him

"Well well you're right" he said honestly

"I called you here for a reason" he said and i could sense the seriousness in his tone

"What is it" i asked

"You're going to find out yourself" he whispered in my ear, suddenly behind me

"Just wait and watch" he said and i cautiously watched, being very observant

Soon, i saw a familiar face walk through the crowd and my eyes widened in surprise

"Isn't that-"

"Yes, watch" he interrupted me and we watched the twist unfold

Soon, i saw Victoria walk over to the bar, meeting up with Marco

"What is she trying to do" i muttered until she did something that answered my question

She handed him the letter, that very letter that Andrew had sent her

Marco took the letter from her hand and read it, then crumbled it into pieces and slammed it on the counter angrily

He was mad at her for some reason, and it was clear because his yelling caused a few stares

Soon, Victoria calmed him down and started telling him something that turned into a conversation

"What the hell" i said as i realized she went to Marco instead of begging us, and it was definitely not the plan

"What are we supposed to do now?" I asked Arthur, turning around

"Well, its simple" he said

"We kill her"
