I open my eyes feeling Ghosts hand on my thigh. He doesn't seem to notice, replying to something Erin said. He's got an elbow leaning on the arm rest and his other is above my kneecap.

Resting on my thigh while his fingers dig into the skin of my inner thigh slightly. I flop my head back against the chair and close my eyes once more with a quiet huff, unbothered and uncomfortable.

My earbud is tugged out and I wait for Ghost to speak to me, having grown accustomed to getting my attention this way. He'd pull the earbud out and start talking, muttering a few words just to annoy me.

A few seconds of silence pass and I groan, "what?" I say to urge him. "What do you want?" I huff and get no reply.

I open my eyes assuming the ear bud had just fallen out. I follow the white cable with my eyes, figuring where the end went but it leads up to Ghost who looks back at me. I snatch it from his ear with a low hiss of disapproval.

He smiles at my reaction, and I scowl. "Don't do that" I mutter.

"You listen to that?"

"No, it's on recommended" I say dismissively.

"There's no reception up here Dex, the only recommendations there are from your downloaded playlist" he says amused.

I glare daggers across at him. "Shut up" I mutter.

He raises an eyebrow at the song on my screen that turned on from touch and I hide it away. "Shut. It" I growl. He hums and leans back in his chair.

I lie back, noticing Erin seems to be trying to sleep. The sky is black outside Ghosts window, and the lights are dimmed. I dig around in the bag I'd brought on board and pull out a throw blanket.

I unfold it and tuck my legs up out of the way, I've been trying to sleep for a while now, but the constant hum of the plane is always in my ears.

I pull the blanket over myself and offer some to Ghost who shakes his head, leaning against the wall of the plane slightly, his eyes darker in the faint setting.

I tuck it up around my neck, closing my eyes once more.

My eyes feel glued together and my mouth is dry. I'm unaware of the date and time. Hardly remembering what year, it is. My throat is raw, and my head feels mushy like a babies. I stumble along steadily behind Ghost as he walks towards the baggage reclaim area.

My clothes feel as if they're sticking to me, and I rub my eyes in the florescent lit airport. "Keep up Dex" Ghost says waiting for me with my suitcase already.

I take it from him with a weak snatch and mumble under my breath. He checks his watch and then phone, the time automatically changing due to the new location.

The skylights showing the pitch-black night that awaits outside. "What's next then?" Ghost asks turning to me.

"Rentals and then hotel" I groan, using my suitcase for support.

"Hurry up then" he says walking off. I drag myself and my belongings behind after him. I pick up the car I'd booked for rent, taking the keys from the desk with a smile.

I lead Ghost outside where identical colored vehicles are parked side by side in the car park. I check the tag on the key and then look around at the number plates.

I open the boot and watch Ghost put his things in before taking my support suitcase and putting it in. I grumble but don't do anything. He takes the keys from me and nudges me towards the passenger side.
