"What weirdo?" I mugged Asiri, my best friend but I called her my sister because thats what we grew up like.

Her mom was my moms best friend so you know how that go.

She just stared in my face before kissing my forehead.

"If I don't hate you with every bone in my body.. Then I don't have any bones in my body." I nodded before grabbing the cart.

"Bitch don't hit it no more, do you not hear what you just said?" She frowned.

"Your dad said— You high?" Amiri opened my door without knocking.

"What.. Is she right there?" I hit Asiri.

"Yea boo, she there." Siri nodded.

"No." I shook my head

"Ladi the shit in your hand, step your cookies up." She frowned.

"And your dad wants you so get unhigh or something." She spoke before walking out.

My dad really didn't care about me smoking but it had to be from him, and this wasn't.

Legend walked in my room and just stood there.

"Get unhigh or something." He mocked Amiri.

"You're so weird, get out." I mugged making him walk out.

"And close my door!" I exclaimed.

"Nah."

"Weirdo shit." I mumbled, getting up to close the door.

I went in my bathroom to see how high I actually looked.

It wasn't as bad so I walked back out.

"You wanna go to this party later?" Asiri questioned.

"You asked aunt Leesi?" I slipped on my nike socks.

"She said I can only go if you go." She shrugged.

"Imma ask my dad." I ran downstairs.

I figured he was in his office since he wasn't in his room.

"Hello." I walked in, seeing him sketching a blueprint.

He just looked up at me and then looked at me again.

"You high?" He frowned.

"No, I was sleep." I stated.

"Aight, you got yo' stuff ready for monday?" He questioned in reference to the new school I was starting.

"Yea, can I go to this party tonight?" I tilted my head.

"You got practice inna' morning don't you?" I did dance, track and hair but I kept up with all of it well.

"So that's a no?" I questioned.
