Chapter 11: Thank You

Xander's POV

"What happened? Did you hurt her?"

Napakunot ang nook o. What the?

"Why would I hurt her?"

Iniwas niya ang tingin niya na para bang nag-iisip.

"Nothing. Nevermind..." May sinabi pa siya kaso hindi ko na marinig dahil humina ang boses niya.

"Done. She didn't lose too much blood. Good thing you're a boy scout Xander. What the hell happened anyway? Pero dapat bukas painomin mo siya ng gamot at pakainin ng maayos." Sabi ni Leslie habang pababa ng hagdan.

Leslie Reyes, girlfriend ni Eren for 3 years. Isa siya sa mga babae na hindi ko kadugo pero close, girlfriend ng tropa ee.

"Ask her. At bakit ako? May kamay siya kaya na niya 'yon. Ano siya may sakit?" Inis kong sagot. Totoo naman, kaya niya gawin lahat 'yon.

"Umayos ka nga!" pinitik niya ang nook o. "Fiancée mo yan! And FYI inaapoy siya ng lagnat!"

"Bakit hindi mo pina inom ng gamot?!" sigaw ko habang hinahawakan ang pinitik niya.

"Trabaho mo na 'yon pre. Itext nalang kita sa advice ni Les sa dapat mong gawin diyan sa mapapangasawa mo." Sabay ngisi nito.

Tumingin ako sa taas. Sana maging okay na siya...

Hannie's POV

"Don't let go. I'll pull you up Han!"

"No!"

His hands were getting sweaty and bit by bit he was slowly leaning towards me.

"Noo!!!"

I hugged my knees and began to sob. It was the same nightmare again. My tears began to fall again as I recalled my dream and what had happened yesterday. I touched my head as it ached.

"What?! What happened?! Hannie?" nagising si Xander at humawak sa magkabilaang braso ko

"X-Xander.."

He didn't speak but instead he hugged me and gently put me back in my lying position.

"Sssh Hannie.. Go to bed.. Nilalagnat ka. Magpahinga ka muna." He said while brushing of the messed up hair on my face.

My vision became blurry and my eyes began to get heavy. Slowly I drifted into a deep slumber wishing that all the pain could just vanish when I wake up.

I woke up to the smell of burnt toast and eggs. Nagluluto ba si Xander?

I stood up and felt the pang of my head. My body felt so heavy and I feel so cold. But I needed to go downstairs immediately before Xander burns the building down. I gently descended the stairs feeling the sting of my wounds and saw Xander having so much trouble while cooking, he looks so frustrated with his brows almost knitted together. He keeps on cussing that made me laugh causing him to sense my presence.

"Gising ka na?" gulat niyang tanong.

"Obviously. Why are you cooking?"

"A-ah may sakit k-ka kasi sabi ni Leslie pakainin kita... So a-ayun," he answered without even looking at me with his cheeks red. Is he blushing?? Instead of answering I burst out laughing.

"Xander! Ikaw ba talaga 'yan?? You seem so-so, so nice! Look! You're blushing!"

"H-hindi ako nagblublush! I'm already cooking you breakfast!"

I wiped away the tears from laughing and looked at him.

"Ano tinitingin mo diyan? Kumain ka na!"

Nagpigil nalang ako ng tawa bago pa niya ako lasunin.

I took a bite of the egg on bread... It took me 2 minutes to swallow.. One bite! How can I explain this to him?? It tastes so...

After 15 minutes, I finally finished!

I took a glance at him and saw him looking at me with excitement.

"Is it good?" He asked. Oh my, another personality uncovered! Nagtanong siya na nahihiya!!

Paano ko sasabihin sakanya? Baka magsungit ulit siya.. Baka magalit siya... Ayoko mastress lalo!

"Uhh..." I need to be honest. "More practice and I swear it would be better."

"So hindi masarap?"

"Uhh.."

"Bakit mo pa kinain kung hindi pala masarap! Baka lalo ka pa lagnatin!" sigaw niya. This is what I'm talking about.. But I feel bad for him.. He looks so disappointed at himself...

"Xander ano ka ba. Kumain pa din naman ako ah? I'm full. No matter the taste is, it's what the thought that counts."

He didn't answer. He took the plates and cleaned them.

"Drink it. It might make you feel better." He handed me a couple of meds and walked upstairs.

Urghh I feel so sick. But thanks to the meds and the bland breakfast I'm getting a little better. I sat down by the sofa and flipped through channels.

"Saan ka punta?"

"School. Don't go out, rest," he coldly answers. Sungit mode na naman!

"K"

"Hannie, thank you." Then he shut the door. I felt myself blush..

Hey! You're sick!! A reason for us to finally see your condo unit!! What's the address again?! Hurry!!

Wow hindi ako ang gusto makita? Natawa nalang.

But wait if they come over Xander might get mad because they know.. It's in our agreement that no one else should know!

I bit my lip, afraid of what Xander would do..

"We're here!" Napalingon ako sa pinto. Nagulat nalang ako kay Lia and Snow. They're here already?? I haven't even texted them the address.. So how would they know??

There was someone behind them as I sharpened my vision my jaw dropped to see who it was.
