Chapter 44: Plan B

Hannie's POV

I still can't believe that all this is happening to me. I'm going to marry Xander Evo; my childhood friend, a former frenemy, my fiancée and boyfriend.

"Obvious na masaya ka ngayon ah?" Mom asked while fixing the bottom of my gown.

"Super. Mom, isn't it bad to wear the gown before the wedding?"

"That's just a hoax! Paano mo susukatin gown mo? Engot lang Nie?"

"Sorry naman."

We're at home, trying out wedding gowns mom ordered from different fashion designers around the world. It's 9 in the morning and I still have classes later.

I've already tried out five gowns and none I gave a liking to. Two, I didn't like the design, one made me look fat, one made me look like a hooker and one simply made me look like an idiot. I know I'm picky but I had to be, it's my wedding gown for my wedding after all.

"I don't like the gowns," mom whispered trying to not offend the designers outside the room.

"Ditto."

"E kung sabihin mo nalang yung gusto mong design para hindi tayo mahirapan anak."

"I've been trying to tell you that all morning but you keep on making me try every outfit mom."

"Para cute."

After the gown try-outs, mom drove me to school. I already texted Xander why and he doesn't mind.

From Dad:
Stay safe Nie. I love you. From your handsome daddy.

I giggled as I went down the car. Dad's such a joker but I love him. I replied that I will.

After the Ryo incident and Linda's bail, security has been increased. I have 10 bodyguards around the area, disguising themselves as students and staff. And Xander has 5 around. Medyo nakakainis kasi parang na wala privacy ko sa school at ang daya sa akin sampu sakanya lima. I have Xander to protect me, he's all I need.

"What's with the sour face?" Umakbay siya sa akin at pinisil pisngi ko.

"It's the security. They bug me."

"Chill okay? Don't be obvious nalang kasi baka mahalata na may nagbabantay sayo. This is for our safety."

I sighed, " Fine."

"Tomorrow we will have an activity; we are going to Laketon Resort! It's a recreational activity for your batch."

We all yelled in excitement. This is going to be fun!

"Settle down. We will leave 5:30 in the morning tomorrow. No late comers okay? Bring snacks for the road. Clothes for 2 days and one night. And do bring necessities. Class dismissed."

As I went out the room I found Xander leaning against the wall with his hand in his pocket. An ultimate hot pose!

"Stop staring babe, baka matunaw." I flushed. I'm still not used to him calling me babe... Nakakakilig ng sobra!

"Gwapo mo e. Seloso pa. I smirked.

He frowned. "Oo na."

I took my phone out and texted Becky, Lia and Snow to go to the mall for a little shopping.
