After spending the majority of the afternoon with our friends, Roman dragged me back home considering we still had a date.

"Although I like surprising you," he said, wrapping an arm around my waist as we walked to my house. "I need to know your opinion first."

I looked up at him questioningly. "What's up?"

He stopped walking and turned to face me. "There's a carnival nearby," he said, gauging my reaction. "I want to take you but are you okay with that?"

I sighed softly, looking up at him. "Yes, I'm okay with it."

"Are you sure?" He cupped my cheeks. "We don't have to. We could go to the movies or um, something else."

"Or something else?" I asked, a smirk on my lips. He rolled his eyes, wrapping his arms around my waist.

"I just want you to have fun and be happy."

"I am Roman. I'm happy when I'm with you and I'm always having fun with you. It doesn't matter what we're doing. Frankly, you could take me to Taco Bell and I'd still enjoy myself." He chuckled, kissing my lips briefly.

"If you want to leave at any moment, tell me and we'll go, okay?" he said, grasping my hand.

"Aye, aye capt'n."

After he dropped me off home and left to go to his, I took another shower to freshen up. I changed into a pair of skinny jeans and a maroon v-neck shirt. I added a white infinity scarf and grabbed Roman's sweater that I borrowed without asking. Roman came and picked me up a few minutes later. He was wearing a plain white shirt and jeans. He wore a leather jacket over it.

We got our hands stamped at the entrance and he led me around. We went on the rides first considering we didn't want to throw up while on one. Roman wrapped his arm around my shoulder as we stood in line, waiting to order food.

"I can't believe you haven't had fried oreos before," Roman said, shocked. I rolled my eyes; he was being overdramatic.

But the moment I took a bite into one, I realized why. It was truly heaven. I could have ate at least ten, but by the fourth one, I got full. Roman, on the other hand, ate at least double the amount I had. I have no idea how he could. Those delicious bites of heaven weren't even small. I'm surprised I could fit four of them in my stomach.

We walked around for a bit, just admiring the scene in front of us. He dragged me over to where the games were being held. "As your boyfriend, it's mandatory for me to win you a teddy bear," he stated, taking me over to the balloon darts.

"By going to the easiest stand?" I teased, bumping his hip.

"It's not the easiest," he scoffed, "It was the first one I saw." I chuckled as he feigned hurt.

Let's just say that we spent about twenty five dollars on this stand. Three darts costed five dollars; so basically, it took him fifteen darts in order to win me a teddy bear. The sad part was that the teddy was nearly as big as me considering I'm only 5'4. He carried the teddy for me while we spent a while longer at the carnival.

At the end, he took me to the ferris wheel. "It's another mandatory thing as your boyfriend," he said, wrapping his arm around my waist.

"Of course it is," I said. He grinned, kissing my lips briefly.

We were silent for a while, just waiting for us to reach the top of the wheel.

"Are you having fun?" he asked.

"I haven't had this much fun in so long, Rome," I murmured, resting my head on his shoulder. He kissed my forehead, playing with my fingers.

"Also, now that we're at the top of the ferris wheel, it's time for you to look out and comment about how pretty it is and I make some cheesy comment afterwards," he said. I laughed, sitting up as I looked out.

The scene in front of me was beyond beautiful, as cliche as it is. All the lights that were on looked like colorful stars. It was too dark to even see the stars in the sky. I was dumbstruck at the sight. All the people looked like little ants on the ground. I was never really afraid of heights so looking down at the ground was never an issue for me.

I heard a sudden pop, making me jolt in surprise. I looked up at the sky, watching how the colorful fireworks illuminated the sky. I could hear the crackling in the sky as they disappeared. We watched it in silence. I leaned against Roman's chest as he held me.

"Psst, make a comment," Roman interrupted. I couldn't help but chuckle.

"It's so beautiful," I said.

"Not as beautiful as you," he retorted. I laughed as he grinned. "Now this is the part where we make out until we reach the bottom."

"Now that," I said, wrapping my arms around his neck, "sounds like a plan."

To say that I had fun would be an understatement. My cheeks hurt so much from all the smiling and laughing.

"This is the most cheesiest date I've ever been on," I told him. He grinned, adjusting the teddy bear in his arms.

"Good," he said, kissing the top of my head.

The ride home was quiet, despite the music playing in the radio. My new teddy, which I decided to name Coconut (because it has the word nut in it and that irks Roman), sat in the back of the car along with the rest of our things.

"Are we going to your house?" I asked as he turned onto a different street.

"Yeah," he said with a secretive smile on his face.

Roman held my hand as he led me to the front steps. He opened the door, flicking the lights on.

"Happy birthday!"

I stood there in stunned silence before realizing what today was. August 7th, my 19th birthday. I grinned, looking at my friends and family. Even Annalise's family and Jay's family was here; hell, my grandmother was here.

"Happy birthday babygirl," Roman said, kissing my forehead.

"Thank you Roman," I murmured, hugging him tightly.

I went around, greeting and thanking everyone. I couldn't help but feel extremely content. I stood there awkwardly as I cut the cake while they sang happy birthday. I mean, what are you supposed to do when people sing to you? Sing along with them?

The rest of the night went by too quickly. I couldn't even begin to explain how overjoyed I was. For once in my life, I felt loved. Seeing everywhere here, just for me, made me realize how many people truly cared. I couldn't help but smile throughout the whole time. Even if I wanted to not to smile, I couldn't help myself.

I finally know where I belong.

A/N: please continue to keep the students at Mizzou in your prayers (if you pray) and thoughts! also, I'm slowly starting to hate all my friends now. it's kinda sad but I can't stand them sometimes and they're just really aggravating me.

#PRAYFORPARIS please keep everyone in Paris in your thoughts and prayers. They've closed the borders due to the terrorist attacks, something they haven't done since WWII. Please, stay safe to everyone in Paris. My thoughts and prayers and support goes out to everyone who is in dire need of help.

Also, please keep in mind that terrorism has no religion. Therefore, don't you fucking dare blame Muslims and call them terrorists. Last I checked, KKK members were Christians as well. No one ever goes to call Americans terrorists when they infiltrate foreign countries to "protect" the US. Stay safe to all the Muslims who are being targeted by ignorant imbeciles.

stay strong xo
