Tao

"Tao."

The scarlet haired wolf's eyes flickered as Avery said his name. In seconds, he stopped time and had her in his arms and was ascending the stairs to his room on the second floor. When they arrived, he turned to her and smiled,

"Sorry about that, I wanted us to get away before they could say anything."

Avery giggled at his comment,

"It's alright. I'm glad you want to be with me."

Tao cupped the side of her face in his left hand and smiled tenderly at her,

"I do want to be with you. I will love you until the end of time. You're the only light I have ever known in my world and I promise to cherish and protect not only you, but your heart. I want to bond with you, Avery. I want to be the one to make you a wolf. I just want to be yours."

Avery's eyes watered slightly at his words, and she pulled him into a sweet kiss that she poured all her love into. He, in turn, did the same, trying to convey all the love he held in his heart for her in one kiss. When they broke apart he continued holding her close and whispering sweet words to her, making her smile and, occasionally, giggle. After a few minutes, Tao led her over to his bed and they both sat down,

"Avery, I want to talk you through the transformation process a little so you aren't surprised. I'm going to have to leave a mark on you that will resemble a tattoo. This tattoo will bind us together and allow you to become a wolf. My tattoo is over my heart. It might hurt but I'm not sure. It's different for everyone. Are you ready?"

Avery nodded in affirmation, causing Tao to smile,

"Alright. I love you."

With those words, he leaned in and kissed a spot on the right side of her neck before allowing his fangs to lightly pierce her pale skin. Avery's body tingled as she felt the tattoo forming on her neck. She began to feel dizzy and clutched Tao's arm tightly before slipping into unconsciousness. Once Tao had finished, he rested Avery's head back on the pillows of his bed before laying back next to her. He leaned in and gently kissed her forehead as he waited for her to wake up.
