Heyyyyyyyyyyy

I'm back to bless yall with a new chapter.

Like the previous chapter... this one is also like super IMPORTANT. If you have skipped the previous chapter then, I kindly request you to read that one before reading this.. because it deals with the title of this chapter.

Also, I have changed the writing scheme in this chapter, avoiding POV. I hope you will like the change.

And according to me... I think this is the most beautiful chapter of this entire book until now...and I hope you come to love it as much as I did writing it...

Hold on tight.. cause this chapter is literally the end of me.... and *probably* you.

Happy reading❤

There was no mistake in spotting the stormy grey clouds that were marching closer. Not just figuratively... but literally speaking.

It was gloomy outside but the silent lightning flashes along with the gloominess inside,  was enough to irk Azalea to an extent that she wanted to rip out her skin from her face.

She wanted to do something..  heck anything to distract her mind. Her muscles were aching and her eyes looked weary and tired due to all the brainstorming she had done the previous night. Typical enough to say, but the said girl never got a decent sleep ever since she lashed out on Zack.

Nothing fascinating though... its just that nothing turned out to be better and the matter had gotten only worse ever since the argument.

The foreign awkward silence had caved in between of the duo and Azalea wanted to shut it down like any other American citizen who wanted Donald Trump to get rid of his "the wall" programme. Azalea let out a humorless laugh thinking about the comparison.

It was funny.

Why?

Simple. The fact that her 10 year long history with her bestfriend was being brutally tested out to see if they would really make it or not was quite funny. Hillarious actually.

Azalea groaned and buried her head in her book, inhaling the calming scent of fresh crisp paper. It was something that soothed her and she unintentionally let a small smile creep out.

It had been a while... no-

One week. Technically.. 6 days and 10 hours.

That's how long it had been. Almost an entire f*cking week with the ongoing cold war with nothing but, short glares and eye rolls as the other passed by the latter.

Azalea pressed her chin onto her book and fiddled with her fingers.

She did try. She did try in every way to be not hung up on the miserable end of the string. A whole week was enough to drive her crazy and to fall in the context of miserable. She longed for him.. his presence, so she took it to herself to strain herself to keep her head high, considering the fact, that both were equally stubborn to initiate the apology first.

So that's why.. she buried herself with more books, more unwanted assignments and other insignificant school work to keep her distracted from the missing presence. Worn out would be an understatement by now... she felt like she was dying. Not just physically but mentally as well. He was the closest to her heart other than her parents. He walked along with her through their childhood. He was her anchor and now it felt like the anchor was dropped somewhere in the middle of nowhere, while she dragged onto it. Hurting her heart.. only little by little.
