Luke

''You didn't have to get me anything Gabriel, honestly... You've done enough for me.'' I said to him. He ignored my statement as he walked into his closet, returning a few moments later. He had about three different bags in his hands; all were a bright shade of pink with sparkles completely covering the bags. I couldn't help but furrow my eyebrows at them.

''They didn't have any more gift bags at the store, okay? It's not like you don't like them.'' He said to me, his pierced lips curling into a smirk. Before I could protest his statement, he placed the bags on my lap. He sat down on the bed next to me, his brown curls bouncing with every movement he made.

The party ended about twenty minutes ago. It was really fun, to say the least, although I haven't seen my brother. I did get kind of worried, my mind resorting to the worst things, but Melody texted Gabriel saying he was fine. She decided to take him home with her for the night so Gabriel and I could have some... 'Quality' time. Whatever that means...

It was great to see my friends again. I was really happy that they got to meet Gabriel for the first time... although they were hesitant at first. They heard of him on the news and through the word of the church. They thought of him as the modern-day Satan for a while! I think that's crazy.

...Although, at first I did think the same.

Now look at me.

''Open this one first.'' He suddenly ordered. I felt his chest press against my arm as he loomed over me, his warm breath hitting against my exposed neck. I couldn't help but shiver as I nodded my head, placing the two other bags onto the ground. This bag was smaller than the rest.

''I'm serious, Gabe... you really didn't have to get me anything. You already paid for this party! You didn't even have to plan this party. I swear-''

''Open the bag.''

I felt my heart skip a beat at the demand, my hand instantly shooting forward and pulling the tissue paper out of the bag. I heard him let out a soft laugh behind me as I pulled the present out of the bag, my eyes widening at the sight.

It was a pair of overalls. They were a simple white color with a patch of roses running down the one leg. It reminded me somewhat of the pair of overalls I saw in the store that one day that Gabriel didn't let me get.

I'm glad he didn't let me get them. Looking back on it... it would have been a waste of money.

''I knew you wanted a pair of overalls. I thought you'd look cute in them.'' He said to me. I couldn't help but smile at his words, leaning back and placing a hand on his cheek. I heard his breath hitch as I placed a kiss onto his cheek, his pierced lips curling into a smile as I did so.

''Thank you. You're very thoughtful.'' I told him. He scoffed at my words as he pulled me closer to him, wrapping his arms around me as my back pressed against his chest. He rested his chin on top of my head as he watched me pull the medium-sized bag onto my lap, letting out a deep sigh before he spoke.

''I know. I had to plan out everything today, you know. I had to get in contact with your friend Joey-''

''Josiah.''

''Josiah. I had to tell him to round you up and the other twins to hang out. Then I had to tell everyone to come over to help me clean and set up food. I had to get a caterer because I don't know how to fucking cook...'' He rambled on as I pulled the tissue paper out of the bag. My eyes widened as I pulled out a rather book; which was, in fact, the Christian bible. I ran my fingers over the top of the bible- it was made out of leather. Knowing Gabriel... it was probably fake leather. It was fairly large for a bible and had big printing. Just the way I liked books.
