The next day

Gabriel

''Come on, Luke. I'm sure it doesn't look that bad.'' I said to him, sighing as I crossed my arms across my chest. He let out a whine of protest from behind the bathroom door, a series of 'no's' following him afterward.

''You didn't tell me you didn't have a swimsuit! We could have bought you one, but you refuse to!''

''You're like three times my size! What size even are these? A freaking five X?''

''It's an extra-large smart ass! What, are you calling me fat?''

''No! I'm sorry! I'll come out!'' He exclaimed, throwing open the bathroom door with no hesitation. He ran out towards me, throwing his arms around my neck and pulling me in a hug. I couldn't help but laugh as he hugged me tightly before pulling away, placing a kiss onto my lips with a bright blush on his face. What a nice peace offering.

He suddenly took one step away from me, motioning towards the swim trunks that he wore around his waist. I couldn't help but place a hand over my mouth to hold back the laughter that threatened to leave my throat as he kept pulling them up around his waist, his eyebrows furrowed in determination as he looked towards me.

''How about we go buy you your own swim trunks. They obviously don't fit you-''

''They fit me fine! Let's go now!''

I pulled him towards me by the front of the shorts, his blue eyes widening at the sudden gesture. I took ahold of the black strings that hung in front of the shorts in my hands, pulling them towards me as hard as I could. He let out a gasp of surprise as the shorts began to hug him around the waist, my eyes furrowing as I looked up towards him.

''You really didn't think of doing this?'' I asked him. He shrugged his shoulders in my direction with a soft smile.

I tied the strings in a bow as tightly as I could, the shorts finally hugging him just right around the hips. The shorts were still too big for his legs, but... they wouldn't fall down now. He let out a delighted sigh as he motioned towards the black shorts, licking his bottom lip before he spoke.

''Do you like them? I told you I was trying out a new gothic look.''

''Yeah. It only took you twenty minutes of convincing to put them on.''

We finally made it out of the hotel room, Luke securely wrapping the towel around his waist as he furrowed his eyebrows. I knew that he was insecure about how the shorts looked on him- they were really big in comparison to what he usually wears. He wears a small or even an extra small in pants- while I was an extra-large. It was kind of cute.

There wasn't anyone at the pool today, surprisingly. I heard as Luke let out a sigh of relief as he pulled the towel off from around his waist, looking out towards the rather big pool as a soft smile lingered on his lips, his eyes lighting up in excitement.

''It's not that hard. Just don't drown and you'll be fine.''

''...Well yeah! I'm not stupid!''

I couldn't help but laugh as we made our way over to a set of chairs, placing our things down on them before laying our towels over the top of them. Luke pulled out a bottle of sunscreen immediately afterward, popping it open and squirting a bunch of it in his hand.

''Do you really need that much?''

''My Scottish skin burns within five minutes in this weather! I already feel it giving me sun poisoning!'' He exclaimed, rubbing the sunscreen all over his chest. I couldn't help but sigh as I crossed my arms over my chest, looking over at him with furrowed eyebrows as I waited. He spread the sunscreen over his whole entire body- even his feet.
