Raven experienced a lot of things in her life, but traveling to the Earth's core was a thing she thought she would never do.

Now she's here infront of the very core that powers the Earth. Her and Clark were wrapped in a purple transparent bubble protecting them from the heat.

"Raven I need you to open the bubble so I can give the energy." Clark instructs, Raven obeys and opens the bubble for the Kryptonian.

Once the man of steel left the bubble, he highlighted purple, he notices then looks back at Raven.

"Just to be sure you don't die." She says with a smirk, Clark chuckles then heads down to the core itself.

Clark opens the conduit then yellow energy escaped the device and heads to the core.

Raven waited for him to finish, but she couldn't help but feel even though she had a shield on.

Then she watches how the core glows brighter by the second.

Then it hits her.

Of course, sincevthe energy of the core is returning also its heat. That means- oh no.

"Clark! We need to get out of here, it's getting to hot, even for my magic." She shouts to get his attention.

"We can't leave! It hasn't fully transferred yet." He said watching as the energy transfers.

Raven just groaned in response.

As the minutes pass, it was getting hotter and hotter.

That wasn't the only problem,

Raven was struggling to keep the shield up for her and Clark. The heat radiating of the core was not helping either. It was only making it harder to concentrate.

Raven groaned, this was painful for her body. Using to much energy is to much she can't handle.

"Just a little bit more, Raven." Clark reassures, although that didn't help the mage.

After a few more seconds, the conduit shut down, signaling that it was finished.

Clark turned to head back to the bubble but as he looked back he saw her close her eyes and fall.

Suddenly Clark didn't felt protected, his magic shield was gone because Raven already lost her consciousness.

Raven was still falling and Clark wanted to go after her, but he just stood there,

Watching as she fell to what might be her death.

He was traumatized. All the fear of losing the people he loved came back to him.

It took over his senses and control, he just stood there, watching her fall.

He just blinked but when he opened his eyes once again, he saw trees, grass and Batman.

Wait? Batman?

He was back to the surface, he was still shocked by what was happening.

"Raven!"

Damian's voice snapped him out of his thoughts. The boy entered his gaze then exited quickly, he filled to where he ran to and his eyes widened at the sight.

Lying there, on the cold ground, was an unconscious Raven.

Damian rushed to her aid, "Raven!" He shouts to the girl in his arms.

"Wake up! Please wake up!" He yelled, tears formed at his eyes.

She wasn't moving, but her chest was still moving, meaning she was still breathing.

"We need to take her back to the base. We have first aid in the jet so we can get her hooked up there." Batman said, Damian nods then lifts up himself with Raven, carrying her bridal style to the jet.

He entered the jet, then followed Batman, then everyone else.

He gently puts down Raven on the medical bed on the jet. Batman starts examining her condition.

"She's stable." Batman says, reassuring his very worried son. He has never seen Damian more worried in his entire life.

Damian just sighs, letting go of all the tension on his muscles. Letting the worry flow away.

The trip home was pretty quiet, no one talked, no one broke the silence that filled the jet.

When they land, they were greeted by Kori and the other Cyborgs of the league.

Damian came out with him carrying Raven, Kori saw this and flew to him. "Will she be alright?" Kori asks concerned. He nods to reassure the Tamaranian.

"We need to bring her to the med room." Clark says, looking at Damian then the team.

They all nodded then went straight to the med room.

Once they arrived at the med room, Damian carefully places Raven onto the mattress of the bed.

Once Raven was off his arms he turned to Clark and glared daggers at him.

"This is all your fault!" He shouts, everyone gets shocked by his sudden out burst.

"Damian! Not now." Bruce said, trying to calm him down.

Clark knew Damian was right.

"No." Clark says looking down at the floor. "He's right, I just watched Raven collapse and fall to her death." He admits.

"What?! How could you just do that?!" Damian exclaims.

"I'm sorry, I just......" He trails off, he tried forming into words what he was feeling, but it was hard to Express himself. But he tried his best,

"The fear of losing someone....someone you care about."
He says, his voice shaking, again remembering Lois and Jon.

"Well you wouldn't have that fear if you weren't so careless and stupid!" Damian shouts back.

Bruce just lost it, "Damian that's enough from you!" He shouts.

Damian just glared at his father, a glare that was threatening. A glare that said 'I will destroy you if you get in my way'.

Damian was about to say something again if it wasn't for the sound of continuous beeping that cut their conversation.

They suddenly direct their attention to the floating and glowing Raven. A purple aura surrounded her form, she hovered over the bed, like an exorcism, but this felt like something a lot greater than an exorcism.

Her vitals were all over the place,

"I need the light support system." Batman ordered to no one specific while rushing to Raven's side and pumping his hands on her chest.

Damian couldn't help but just stand there, fear covered his entire mind.

This is what Kent felt. The fear of losing someone you loved, the fear that you did get to do anything to protect them. He finally understood what Kent was feeling at that moment where he couldn't help but just watch as Raven fell to her demise.

Damian just stared at her figure, floating and glowing, looking like a sleeping angel.

Suddenly her glow faded and she dropped to her bed.
Bruce stopped pumping, thinking it was over.

Until they heard a long line of sound, it hurt their ears.
They looked to the side where her vitals were, and the data on the screen shook them to the bone.

Her vitals were one straight line.

Damian just broke down, Clark's eyes had tears in them, the others had on a shocked face.

She was dead.................
