I looked back over my shoulder. I didn't spot Nalini, I pressed the bluetooth attached to my ear. "Where are you?" I asked one of the guards.
"Mrs. Shekhawat is walking back Inside, she said she forgot something." My eyes shot up.

My heart skipped a gentle beat at the thought. I couldn't help but think of Nalini's tear ridden eyes. The way she hadn't looked in my eyes since last couple days. The way she hadn't said a word to me. The way she looked like a destroyed blank canvas. I cursed under my breath. Before I knew, my body took control and I ran back. My body shuffling through the crowd.

"You dumbasses." I sputtered out to my guards before I disconnected. I spotted Nalini walking towards the terminal. I instantly strode the gap between us forward and caught her wrist. She gasped and looked back over her shoulder. The same blank face yet there was a different kind of fear I saw.

"If you think Nalini, you can run away from this. You cannot. I don't know what this is, but I'd rather agree to have a fucking conversation than you walking away like this. At-least not until this is over." I said as I pulled her towards me a little gentler than before. She didn't say a word yet again. She looked down at my hand on her wrist and wriggled it out. Her eyes went back to my chest.

"You do really hate me. Don't you?" She asked. "I do.." not. I said. Leaving the last word unsaid. There was silence between us for a thick minute. I couldn't help but wonder how she failed to see every-time I had cared. Every-time I had done things just for her, not for me despite the meaninglessness of our pact, our arrangement.

She scoffed gently. "Let's go then." She said as she put her hand in front of me. I intertwined my hand with hers. I sighed but the frown didn't leave my face, not once. I didn't myself know where we were. But her words were still ringing on the back of my head. The anger inside me had long turned into resent. Towards her, but maybe towards myself.

As soon as we settled inside the Hotel, I went straight for a shower. The Five hour flight with Nalini sleeping next to me peacefully wasn't so relaxing for me. I could never sleep while travelling and it rendered me tired. A long hot shower and when I stepped outside I saw her talking to someone, standing in the balcony. I could see her from within the bathroom. The see through glass wall of the hotel rooms gave a beautiful view of sunset from every part of the room.

The hotel room was huge. It was made with a wooden aesthetic. The bed was big and comfy, there was a cupboard on a side for our luggage. The hotel was built in the ocean. A gigantic pool was right beside where Nalini stood in front of me. She turned her head gently towards me. I had nothing but a pair of boxers on. She instantly looked away.

I took a deep breath, tilting my head to a side as I brushed my wet hair with my hand. I decided to unpack and dress up in my casuals. Nalini walked inside with the phone pressed against her chest. Her t-shirt stuck to her upper-body, perfectly outlining every curve and bent of her structure. It seemed sheer, since I could see the outline of her lace underneath. I looked up at her and she extended the phone towards me. "It's Mom." She didn't look up at me instead she walked inside the bathroom.

I answered the phone and the first thing I heard was excitement roaring on the other end. Mom wanted to know everything, how was the Hotel, was it romantic? Did I like it? Was it up to Nalini's taste? She even wished me luck for the following nights and that caught me off guard. Luck for what? Dealing with awkward mess? On a honeymoon? My favourite thing to do. I sighed.

I ended the call shortly and threw the phone on the bed. I looked for room service and ordered us something to eat while I waited outside, watching the sunset. It was beautiful, I had loved skies since day one. The colours faded into a dim exposure and moon rose from one side of the ocean in front of me. I felt the cold air against my skin. I heard Nalini calling my name. I hadn't heard my name from her for a good time now. And it seemed weird to even notice these details.
