This poem tells of how life was for me one year ago when I didn't have a relationship with God. I'm planning to make a sequel to this poem.

One year ago...
I was lost, I was blind, I was a slave to sin
One year ago...
I thought I would find joy in the worldly things
One year ago...
I feared death for I thought going to hell was my only fate
One year ago...
I never knew what they meant when they mentioned God's grace
One year ago...
I was too caught up following the world's ways
One year ago...
I only spoke to You when fear and sadness crept my face
One year ago...
I hated you for letting trials come my way
One year ago...
I never knew what it felt like to be saved.
