Chapter 19

Rachel POV

      I was driving. I didn't know where I was going. I wasn't even really paying attention. Just driving.

I stopped the tears before they even really started.

I would not cry.

How could he do this. Granted Tabloids are tabloids. But how was I to know if it was true or not. He lied to me. Messi article? He lied. He knew.

He knew.

My phone rang again for the umpteenth time. I pulled over and answered. Didn't say anything. And hung up.

Suddenly I knew where I was going and started driving again.

Cristiano POV

       She answered then hung up! I thought we were adults. I had dropped off Junior at my mother's. I had gotten home and continued to call and text Rachel. 

If she let me explain. She would see that not everything she reads isn't true. Not everything.

Rachel POV

       Buen Retiro Park. I came here as a kid before we moved to Greece and then moved back. I sat down on the steps by the water and checked my phone.

I sighed and checked some of the messages

Rach please let me explain. I love you.

Rachel please answer. I just need to explain. I love you..

Rach please at least let me know your okay. Please.

I stopped reading and sent him a message.

I'm fine.

Almost instantly I got a response.

Where are you? Please let me explain.

I thought for a moment. It'd take him at least an hour to get here. I'd have time to think a bit. I sighed Buen Retiro Park.

And hit send.

I haven't moved from my spot on the steps. And when I heard him come up behind me and sit down a few feet away I didn't move.

I didn't even look at him.

I held out my hand to him. He tried to take it in his but I snatched it back. "Article." I growled

I saw him flinch as he handed it to me. I flipped through till I found it. I then stood up and pushed it into his face.

"What the hell is this Cristiano?! I literally can't even look at you right now!! I trust you all the time. All the time!! This is what you do with my trust?! Two years Cris.  Two years we've been together!" I yelled

I saw him flinch again "I can't believe you. Yeah tabloids will be tabloids. But they have pictures. Evidence. And then you lie to me?! You think that lying would be a good idea?!" I mimicked him "Messi article. Gotta read it. Bullshit!! I've never been so upset or angry with you!!" I finished

He stood up now too "Rachel... you have to let me explain."

"I am going to. But if your not one hundred percent honest with me. I swear Cristiano.  I will probably hit you."
