Alessa's POV

I walked down the hallway, and as soon as I entered the classroom, the chatter came to a sudden halt. It seemed to be the usual response whenever I arrived. In my first class, I was paired up with a girl named Zoey, who had arrived late.

"Hi, Miss," a girl's voice called from behind. I turned to see Zoey, a girl with long hair and an hourglass figure. I couldn't help but notice some bruises on her, but I pushed aside any concerns, thinking she must have had a minor accident.

"You can sit with me, Zoey," I said, pointing to the seat beside me. She smiled at me, and her genuine happiness seemed contagious. I couldn't help but smile back.

How does she manage to stay so cheerful all the time?

As the lesson came to an end, Zoey invited me to join her and her friends for lunch, and I gladly accepted. Sitting with my brothers could sometimes be dull, so I figured it would be a nice change.

During lunchtime, I made my way to Zoey's table, after informing my brothers of my plans.

I sat down and met two other girls, one with chestnut hair and the other with black hair. Both had hourglass figures. Zoey introduced them as Lyla and McKenzie. We quickly hit it off and found ourselves chatting and laughing.

At one point, McKenzie mentioned that there were rumors about two attractive guys joining our school today. It wasn't exactly my choice of conversation, but I listened nonetheless.

Suddenly, the cafeteria door swung open, and the room fell into silence. I continued eating my lunch, paying no mind to the commotion.

Footsteps approached, and I caught a glimpse of their reflections trying to playfully hit me.

Before they could execute their plan, I swiftly grabbed their hands and turned to face them. To my surprise, it was none other than my beloved best friends—Grayson and Leonardo.

My excitement got the best of me as I let out a squeal of delight and engulfed them in a tight hug.

"Can't... breathe," Grayson managed to say, his voice muffled. I released them with an embarrassed smile and playfully punched them both.

"You better not go disappearing on me without a warning. If you do, I'll make sure to chop you into pieces," I teased them with a mischievous grin.

They gulped and nodded in agreement, knowing I was only half-joking.

"Alright, show's over," I declared to the cafeteria, signaling for everyone to return to their meals.

I turned to Zoey, Lyla, and McKenzie, introducing my best friends with a flourish.

"Everyone, meet Leonardo and Grayson. And guys, meet Zoey, McKenzie, and Lyla," I said, excitement evident in my voice.

They exchanged greetings shyly, seemingly overwhelmed by the sudden attention.

While Leo and Gray had to head off, not before leaving a quick peck on each girl's cheek, I smirked mischievously, knowing exactly what I was up to.

"You two seem to like each other," I teased, raising an eyebrow.

"N-No, it's not like that," they both stammered, their cheeks turning pink.

I simply grinned, knowing I had hit the mark.

As we returned to our respective classes after lunch, I couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction. It seemed like my matchmaking skills were on point.
