~~~Emily Evans~~~
I groggily awoke from my slumber as I looked around the somewhat unfamiliar room. Where was I...? I asked myself as I tried to think back to what I had done before but it all seemed to be a blur. I remembered that the Tardis brought me here, meeting another version of the Doctor, meeting his also alien companion, Sol, with her taking me around the city, going hover skating with her, and then we went to the cafe for a bite to eat. Then...then my memory went blank.
I sat up a bit too quickly only for a slight pounding to appear in my head. I instantly placed my hand there, easing the sensation ever so briefly. At least it wasn't that bad.... I told myself as I looked around for Sol. Why did she haft to suggest that we just had to try the drinks...? There was way too much alcohol within just one of them, so much so that it had nearly overwhelmed the flavor...and I just had to drink a couple glasses of cider.... Never again...not in a million, billion, or quadrillion years....
"Sol...?" I asked aloud as I noticed the copper haired girl sitting at a small table in a room. "Where are we...? How did we get here...?"
"Huh...?" Sol asked me as she looked up, wiping some stray tears from her eyes.
Was she crying...? I asked myself, suddenly finding myself sad that she was sad. However, I didn't question her about it...something just told me not to.
"Oh...." Sol responded as she tried to cheer herself up, if only slightly. "Y-You don't remember walking here...?" She seemed to press a puzzled expression onto her face. "You did drink a lot of cider...didn't you...?"
"Oh...don't remind me...." I told her as my hand found it's way back to my head as if that could stop my brain from hurting. "Say...there isn't a vending machine or anything like that here...is there...?"
"Go left when you leave the room, head down to the end of the hall, and it's to the right of the stairs...once you go down the stairs." Sol told me. "I could get you something if you'd like."
"N-no." I told her. "I want to go, I'll be right back." With that, I stood up and made my way out the door before I followed Sol's directions.
Once I made my way down the stairs, I could see a small room like area to the right of them. It looked to be some kind of lounge complete with some sofas, a coffee table right in the center of the room close by the sofas, two vending machines in the far corner of the room, one for drinks while the other contained snacks, and an ice machine sat along a table pushed up against the wall beside the vending machines.
I made my way over to the vending machine before I looked at it's contents before I settled on something that looked like a bottle of water, all the while...I didn't seem to pay much attention to the only other person down here. They were sitting on one of the sofa's with their nose stuck so far into their magazine that I couldn't tell if who sat there was even a man or woman...or if they were even Human.
After all, when Sol and I travelled the city earlier today I saw all types of aliens...some humanoid and others not but I didn't really try to pay attention to them. The woman at the hover skate shop definitely wasn't Human as her skin was a light blue, her hair was a stark white, and she even a pair of curved, silver, horns on top of her head. I suppose I just didn't want to gawk at them...that would be rude...so very, unbelievably, crass.
Then again...some part of me just wasn't bothered by that fact...after all both the Doctor and Sol were aliens...I know this and keep this fact within my head even though they both look Human.... Besides...if they look Human to me...I must look...whatever they are...to them. Huh...that's a strange fact.... I seemed to tell myself.... If they're aliens to me...then I'm an alien to them.... Just thinking that seemed to make me chuckle.
I placed a hand to my mouth as I tried to not just burst out into a laugh as I pressed the buttons on the vending machine to obtain my drink. A small frown appeared on my face as I watched as the machine stopped halfway through, my drink stuck in the machine. With a huff of annoyance, I use the money disk to pay for my drink once again...thankful that I had money to burn thanks to Sol sonic-ing that atm.
The machine restarted it's commands as it reached for another drink before stopping halfway once again. "You've gotta be kidding me...." I huffed aloud, my voice thoroughly irritated. I set my glare at the machine as my fingers seemed to bunch up, my hands closed into slight fists. I then kicked the machine, hard...hard enough for my to grab my foot in slight pain. However, my pain was short lived when the drink I wanted...that I paid for twice, came falling down into the bottom of the vending machine.
I did a slight, barely noticeable, dance of excitement before I went to pick up my drink. I twisted the lid open, a slight pop sounded as it rung out throughout the small room. Just when I was about to drink the liquid within the bottle, a hand suddenly came from behind me as they placed this dark colored rag up to my face...covering my nose. I dropped my drink in surprise before it spilled out all over the rug.
The rag smelled strong...I couldn't place what was on it but I could place its affect on me. My headache seemed to worsen as my vision started to fade out. I somehow managed to scream out in a muffled but still loud voice before the rag had tightened around my mouth, blocking out the remaining sound.
I tried to kick and pull away from my attacker as well...only they were too strong and quickly overpowered me. The smell and intensity of whatever substance was on the rag only seemed to grow the longer it was covering my mouth and nose. My heartbeat seemed to slow, my body started to relax before my vision faded to black and my mind dove deep into the reaches of oblivion.
