I stared at the monitor on the console as I watched the native wildlife on the planet outside as an animal climbed up one of the trees. The door of the Tardis suddenly flew open as two people rushed in, closing the door behind them...they seemed out of breath. Just like them.... I told myself as I looked at them both...The Doctor and Rose. I didn't really want to meet who, or what, they were running from. Luckily...I had been watching River like a hawk when she placed the Tardis in the time vortex. I did the same movements as she had, pressed the same buttons. I then flicked a lever down and the Tardis began to shake as it prepared to move.

"Doctor...!" Rose shouted, a bit concerned as the Tardis shook. They were both nowhere near the console.

"I didn't do anything." The Doctor told her.

"Then why are we moving...?" Rose asked, her voice laced with concern.

The Doctor then looked at the console before his eyes landed on me. I was the only one standing close enough to the console to press any buttons. "What did you do...?" He asked me, carefully, as his eyes trailed down to my locket.

My heart seemed to ache when he did that...now that I knew what it meant. He was looking for something...something he wouldn't find...not yet.... "N-nothing." I told him as he looked at me. "Fine...I just put her in the time vortex. It looked like you were running from something and I didn't want to know what."

"And how could you possibly know how to do that...?" He asked me as he walked over to the console. He then checked everything. "Everything's fine...you didn't even leave the break on."

"Is that why there was no noise...?" Rose asked him. "Do you always leave the break on...?"

"I like the noise...." The Doctor seemed to proclaim before he turned back to me. He most likely still wanted to know my answer to what he had asked me.

How did I know how to do that...? It's not like I can just say: hey...so...a stranger, only she wasn't a stranger-stranger, came into the Tardis and placed it into the time vortex. And oh...did I mention that I followed every detailed move she made so I knew what to do...? More like so I knew what she was doing, even if I had no clue as to what she was actually doing until after she did it. No...I couldn't say that.... It sounded so sketchy...and I'm not even him. Who knows how he'll react...? A part of me didn't want to know.

He looked into my eyes before he placed his hand along my neck, as if to check a pulse. He frowned at what he felt. He would wouldn't he...? Time Lords have two hearts while Humans only have one...so their pulse would be much faster than that of a Humans'...wouldn't it...? I remembered Sol telling me something like that...her words a little foggy as if that had been a dream...but I knew it was real...that it really happened.

"Sorry...." I told him as I looked at him, my voice so low that only he could hear it as Rose was still by the Tardis doors. I just couldn't put up with him feeling so sad all of the time...so alone. I'm right here...can't you see...? "I'm still Human...but I know."

"You can't...it's not possible." He told me as he looked into my eyes...as if trying to see if I could be lying. He then placed his hand to my forehead, as if checking for a fever. "Only a slight fever."

"I can remember what Gallifrey looked like...the red grass, the blue sky which turned orange at the setting of the suns, the sight as red light danced across silver leaves on the trees like fire." I told him, describing the scene from the memory I had just had. Yes...memory...it seemed so strange to think about it like that.

"It isn't possible." The Doctor told me once more, more so in disbelief. "Tell me...do you know who you are...?" There was a bit of hope in his voice as he spoke, yet also...dread...?
