"So...." Rose replied, looking at the Doctor as she spoke. "Why do all the aliens in there speak English...? I mean, we are billions of years into the future, surely any English that would be around has dramatically changed...so how could I understand them...?"

Why haven't I thought about that...? I asked myself. I almost expected there to be at least some kind of language barrier but...I've never even noticed one. I never even noticed that all I could hear was people talking in English. "You just hear English." I spoke as if I somehow knew what was going on...yet I could seem to find the words to actually say it. "Like a translator, a live translator."

"A gift of the Tardis." The Doctor spoke, more so to Rose than to me. "It's like, it is, a translator. It get's inside your brain, translates."

He so could've worded that better. I internally told myself as I heard the Doctor talk.

"It's inside my brain...?" Rose asked, a bit worriedly.

And he's done it.... I told myself.

"Well, in a good way." The Doctor tried to reassure her.

"Your machine gets inside my head...?" Rose questioned him, a bit upset. "It gets inside and changes my mind and you didn't even ask....?"

"I didn't think about it like that." The Doctor told her.

"No, you were too busy thinking up cheap shots to mention anything." Rose complained to him. "So who are you then, Doctor...?! What are you called...? What sort of alien are you...?!"

"I'm just a Doctor." The Doctor replied. I could see the look on his face as he sat there.

"From what planet...?" Rose questioned him.

"Rose." I tried to get her attention, to no avail.

"Well, it's not as if you'd know where it is." The Doctor told Rose, they were both completely ignoring me. I didn't like it.

"Where're you from?" Rose asked him once more.

"Rose, enough...!" I suddenly barked at her, much harsher than I had wanted to. "It doesn't matter, does it...?" I tried to get her to lay off him.

"Doesn't matter...?" Rose questioned me. "We're here with him right now...we don't know much about him. How does that not matter...? Why aren't you questioning him with me...? Surely you'd want to know just as much as I would."

I stayed quiet for a moment before I spoke. "Of course I do." I told her before I looked back at him. "But do you see him...?" I questioned her. "See what these questions are doing...?! They're hurting him." I didn't notice when the Doctor had stood up and walked down towards the floor of the room, to look out at the burning Earth. I quickly walked over to him before I placed my arms around him, as if to give him a hug.

"Earth Death in 20 minuets." I heard the announcer announce, twice.

"All right...." I heard Rose say as she joined us on the floor in front of the window. "As my mate Shireen says, never argue with the designated driver." At that, I noticed the Doctor slightly smirk. "Can't exactly call for a taxi." Rose took out her phone. "Don't know any who'd come to a space station."

"But you can call someone." The Doctor spoke. "I fixed your phone so that you'd be able to call past Emily's. Well...not that I needed to but I just assumed I should fixed yours like that as well. Just incase we get split up again."

Rose scrolled through the contacts on her phone before she stopped at one, her mother's, before she pressed the call button. "Mum...?" Rose asked as the line picked up on the other side. She slightly laughed as I heard a noise coming through the phone. I could pick up Jackie's voice but I couldn't hear what she was saying. "You alright though...?" More silence before Rose spoke once more. "Don't worry, she's with me. She's fine. Turns out she just fell asleep at her friends house.... Yeah, Helena...that's the one. Yes...I know she said that Emily wasn't over there. She probably just didn't want to get her in trouble. Alright, here she is." Rose then handed the phone to me.
