Aliyah's Pov:
Today was Friday December 15, meaning we had Quidditch practice as usual, to which I walked to with Theodore.
We laughed on our way there, the conversation eventually shifting to Christmas related things.
"So, you still haven't got a date to the Ball thing?" He asked. "Oh- I'm asking today"
He raised his eyebrows "You are going to ask the guy? Wouldn't really be gentlemanly of him". I chuckled. "Who are you even asking anyways?" He continued, just as we walked onto the pitch.
I spotted Lucian and pointed to him. Theo jokingly scrunched his nose up "Lucian? You're asking Lucian Bole to the Christmas Ball?"
"What? It's not that big a deal. I don't see him that way, but Daphne suggested it" i shrugged. "Well Daphne must have horrid taste then"
"I know. Why'd you think she's dating my cousin?" I joked snd we both burst into a fit of laughter. "Anyways, I'm just going to ask him after practice. But he doesn't mean anything to me". "Well, good luck, then"

Right after practice finished, I flew back down to the ground before Lucian could leave "Lucian!" He turned around and looked at me confused
"Hey, uhm, I haven't got anyone to go with to the Ball, soo...". He raised an eyebrow "so you want me to go with you?"
I nodded. "Oh- yeah, sure then" he chuckled "Really? Uhm, thanks, I'll guess I'll see you then". He smiled "yeah, bye" "Bye".
Lucian walked off as Theodore approached me "well?" "He said he'll go with me". "Good for him, then" he chuckled

December 16 :: The day of the Christmas Ball
I got ready with Daphne and Pansy in our dorm about an hour and a half before the Ball would start.
I dressed up in a somewhat dark indigo-ish dress Pansy picked out, with black heels and jewelry.

I stepped out of the bathroom to show them, not sure what to think.
"Well?" I asked as i nervously patted down the sides of the dress
Their eyes brightened "It looks wonderful" said Daphne
"I love it" added Pansy "You really should wear dresses more often, they suit you"
"They're quite uncomfy, though, don't you think?" I stood in the mirror, fixing even the slightest error in it"You look amazing, Al"
