"I'm pretty sure he's full on depressed at this point" Aliyah whispered and rolled her eyes sarcastically. "Right? I mean, just look at him" Blaise uttered, making all of us cover our mouths to stifle our snickers and chuckles as we turned to look at Snape
"Since you mentioned it last time, his hair really is greasy as hell" Mattheo added. An incoherent snort of laughter escaped from us lot, turning a bit of heads at the dinner table.
"I bet you it just rains down when he shakes his hair. Man's an olive tree" I kept it going. We had to bite down on our tongues not to laugh out loud.
Despite thinking seventh year was going to be the worst, it might be one of the best. We knew that it was useless to actually focus, and we had a lovely plan of defeating Voldemort. Therefore before the day of the battle came, we were creating core memories.
We haven't exactly found the diadem yet, but we were planning on doing a full-day search for it during this week, which was why we rushed out once we finished eating.
Our hyena-sounding laughs filled the corridors of the castle as we made our way to where the Room of Requirement usually was. We found the door there and checked our surroundings before all going in.
"Not messy at all. Should be really easy to find this diadem" there was an extreme amount of sarcasm in Daphne's voice. "It's fine, we've got all day, yeah?" Aliyah began, going over to the end of the room where there were a bunch of books and boxes and a machine thing.
"Well come on, it's not going to magically appear" I sighed, going over to another section to help with the search.

"It's been three full hours, Al. Three full hours that we've been searching" groaned Pansy, sitting on a pile of old pillows and boxes. "And it's not like we're searching for anything big or important; we're searching for a fucking princess tiara that Voldemort hid" Blaise exclaimed with a tone of sass.
"Come on, we can't just give up now, we're close, I know it" Al kept insisting. "Leah are you sure? It's quite tiring" I sighed. "Onlyquite?!" Enzo flopped down onto the floor lazily.
"Guys, we can't give up on this" Matt sided with Al, who then suddenly let out a wince. I turned to her, "What? what's wrong?"
"Nothing, just... my hand hurt for a second" she brushed it off, reaching her hand back out in the pile of things, only to pull away again with another wince.
It looked like something clicked in the heads of Al, Matt and Draco. "What is it?" Daphne looked just as confused as I was. "Draco, go over there" said Mattheo, and Draco rushed over to the pile Aliyah was searching in, holding a dark, blue-ish eggplant colored velvet box. Almost like a jewelry box.
"Is that?-" Enzo trailed off, getting up from the floor. Blaise laughed, "We found the tiara!" Pansy raised her hands in success despite practically merging with the boxes on the floor.
Draco opened the box, finding a beautiful silver diadem inside. It had a little crow on the top, with a diamond the same color as the box in the middle with smaller versions of it hanging from it. "It's beautiful..." muttered Daphne

"Beautiful, yet dangerous" said Matt, "Deadly, even" Al added. "Despite it being pretty, we have to destroy it" I observed the diadem. "But how?" Uttered Draco, "Maybe spells?"

"Bombarda!" I fired once again at the diadem on the floor, yet it simply wouldn't break. "Bloody crown..." Pansy said under her breath. "Tiara" corrected Matt, "Diadem, you idiots" Enzo properly corrected.
Matt and Al were the only ones not trying to break it since getting close to it would somehow pain them a bit, so instead, they were searching for methods to destroy it. "You know what? Let's try physically damaging it at this point" Aliyah sighed.
We tried throwing it, bending it, slamming Balise's shoe on it for Merlin's sake — nothing. It just wouldn't break.
"What the fuck are we supposed to do now?!" Draco was frustrated, gripping at the roots of his hair and pacing around...
"Use my wand?" Suggested Al. "I mean, okay, but what would I even cast?" I took her wand into my hands, pointing it at the diadem on the floor. "Well, what's the strongest spell you know?"
"Well, the killing curse, easily the most destructive", "Great, do the killing curse then" she nodded to it. "Seriously?" I looked at her in shock. "I'll do it" she walked towards me, taking her wand back and pointing at the diadem.
"Yeah, but can you?" Enzo queried in worry, "I can try" she sighed. She took a deep breath in and stepped a bit back.
"...Avada Kedavera" a large bolt of green light shot out of her wand, hitting the diadem directly at its diamond. It quite literally blew up, exploded. Al stumbled a bit back, looking at the nothingness remaining of it.
She chuckled and we all laughed, smiling "You did it! You destroyed the diadem!" Matt grinned widely. "We did it" she laughed.

"I still can't believe it... we're only a few steps closer to defeating him" Al sighed, explaining to the Gryffindors in their common room.
"That's great news" Fred and George chuckled, "have you guys heard of Harry, Hermione and Ron yet?" Asked Neville.
"Not yet, but we're expecting a message soon" I replied, "Yeah, they're after the other horcruxes" Matt added
"What are the other horcruxes anyways?" Dean Thomas asked. "Well, we've destroyed the diadem, Dumbledore destroyed Gaunt's ring a while ago, Potter destroyed the diary in second year, and then there's the locket, Hufflepuff's cup and his snake" Draco explained

"Now that you kinda think about it... isn't Harry a horcrux?" Ginny raised a brow. "What do you mean?" Matt questioned.
"I get your point... I mean, when... Voldemort tried killing him that night, he didn't die. He simply got weaker..." Aliyah acknowledged, "Meaning, a bit of Voldemort is in Harry. And not in the weird way. A bit of Voldemort's magic entered Harry and it's affecting him, it's why he's been having those vision nightmares" Draco concluded
All of our eyes went wide, "We need to tell them as soon as we can"
