Max's POV :

I sat in my car fresh out of a meeting with my manager. I sat scrolling through social media until my headache became too much to handle, I placed my phone on the passengers seat and took paracetemol out of the glove box and took two with a gulp of water. I started the car and placed my phone in the holder attached to the window as I looked for google maps to get home when my phone vibrated twice.

I started the engine immediately and took off, following the map to where Emily was

I started the engine immediately and took off, following the map to where Emily was. Turns out I underestimated the length of time it would take as I pulled off the highway 40 minutes later, it was starting to get dark and cold out and the thought of Emily being out here alone had my heart racing. I drove further into the woods until my headlights shone on Emily, her small frame slumped against a tree trunk. I jumped out of the car, leaving the engine and headlights on and ran towards her.
