I stood there after Peter left and I looked at Derek.

I didn't know if I should ask or not.

Derek rested his hands on the table, his back to me.

I bit my lip in thought and sighed. "Derek?" I said, stepping closer to him.

I slowly slid in front of him and glanced at him.

He slowly rubbed my arm and I rested my hands on his chest and he slowly wrapped his arms around my waist, resting his chin on my shoulder.

I slowly wrapped my arms and him and sighed.

He slowly pulled away and I lifted myself up to sit on the table.

I looked at him with question and he brushed my hair behind my ear.

"You okay?" I whispered.

He nodded and sighed.

He slowly cupped my face and kissed me.

I kissed him back and held his hand.

"Was it nice seeing her again?" I asked, cupping his face.

"It really was," he answered, sighing.

I smiled. "Good."

I knew how much he must miss her and the rest of his family.

I wrapped my arms around him.

"I missed you," he whispered.

"I missed you more," I smiled.

He smiled against my neck and picked me up and I laughed.

He carried me and set me on the bed. I grabbed his shirt and pulled him closer and kissed him eagerly.

He hovered over me and then pulled away.

I breathed heavily and stared at him.

"What?" I whispered.

He sighed and sat next to me and I sat up, running my hands through my hair.

"If you could see your mom again... would you?" He asked.

I sighed and looked at my nails and bit them nervously.

"My moms alive," I finally blurted.

Derek looked at me. He didn't look shocked, he didn't act like everyone who I told my mom was alive which relaxed me.

He slid closer and took my hand that I was biting my nails.

"What happened?" He asked.

I sighed and crawled towards him and he opened his arms and I wrapped my arms around him and rested against him.

He gently caressed my back.

"She left me," I mumbled in his chest.

I hated talking about her, which is why I let everyone assume she was dead. In my eyes she was.

I slowly pulled away and looked at him.

"I don't like talking about her," I mumbled.

Derek looked at me with empathy and waited for me to continue.

"She left me with him," I said, glancing at my hands. "She abandoned me, she left me- I wasn't good enough and she didn't want me... She just got out of there and left me with a monster and-" I shrugged at a lost for words. He was the first person I ever told this all to.

"I don't know who I hate more, him or her. I feel like I'm like her..." I said, chewing my lip nervously.

"Why?" Derek asked.
