Everyone was just so damn intimidating in this room and Colby...I didn't know if I hated him, was terrified of him, or just wanted to let him have his way with me. I needed to get out of this house. It was suffocating.

 I stood back. "Kat,"

She had her mouth glued to Sam's again and it didn't look like she would be coming up for air any time soon.

"What's up beautiful?" I jumped, because Elton had appeared, out of fucking nowhere, right beside me when he was just across the room.

I glared at him for a second before answering. "I'm ready to go. I'm tired and I just want to go home but it doesn't look like she wants to go anywhere."

He grinned, his teeth glinting in the low light hanging in the garage. "I'll take you. Keep you safe."

I didn't feel so sure about that. I jumped again, feeling someone touch my elbow.

I looked over and saw Mike. "You need a ride home Chloe?" He looked like a total bad ass, scary even, but the sympathetic look that he gave me made me feel better than the devilish one that Elton was giving me. "I'm headed out anyways Elton, so I can drop her off. That way you can stay here and watch the door and the gate. You know how these parties get."

Elton was giving Mike a hard glare, one that honestly made my skin crawl.

How did they all go from being sweet to creeping me the fuck out? I was getting whiplash.

"I can just call an Uber. No biggie. KAT!" I yelled her name, trying to get her attention, and every head in the room turned to me.

Sam and Kat broke apart, her head yanking towards me, her eyes widening when she saw me sandwiched in between Mike and Elton.

"What's going on?" She asked standing up, and looking at them accusingly. "Can I not bring any friends around without you guys harassing them? Millie won't even talk to me anymore. I haven't heard from her since you took her home that night Elton."

What...the fuck?

Elton was grinning that same grin back at Kat, and shrugged. "I told you, I didn't do anything to her. I barely spoke to her. Just dropped her off at home. She talked though. Said something about moving back to Kentucky. Remember, I told you that."

Kat looked at him speculatively while she chewed her bottom lip and twirled a strand of blue hair around her fingers. She almost looked like she was in a trance, her pupils blowing then shrinking back in, as she stared into Elton's eyes.

"Yeah, she had said something to me about that too. It's just weird that she won't talk to me anymore. Anyways," She said, shaking her head. "Want me to take you home Chloe?"

I nodded but Sam grabbed her hand and pulled her back down to him. "No. I'm not ready for you to leave. I already let you leave once earlier. You're mine for now."

She giggled at his dominant tone but it kind of pissed me off. Kat didn't even glance at me when she spoke. "Mike, you don't mind dropping Chloe off at the apartments, do you? You know where it's at."

He glanced at me, then back to Kat. "Yeah, I don't mind."

"Mike!" Sam's voice rang out, as he brought his eyes away from Kat's face to meet Mike's gaze. "Straight there and straight back. No stopping for....food. We have some here."

Mike grinned, his lips drawing back slowly against his teeth. "I've already eaten anyways Samuel. I know the rules." He placed his hand on the small of my back and led me past Elton, who was still glaring, and out the door.

"Hey, is there a bathroom I can use before we leave?" I asked when we entered the kitchen.

"Yeah, right here. Nope, that one's occupied." He led me to another bathroom down the hall, but someone was in that one too. He sighed and glanced up the large staircase. "Come on. There's a couple upstairs." We walked up and went to the left, to the end of the hall. The door was locked. "Are you fucking kidding me?" He growled, punching the door.

"Occupied!" A girl's voice yelled back.

"Fuck." He grabbed my hand and pulled me back down to the other side of the hall, turning another sharp left to 3 doors at the end of the hall. One on each side and one in the middle.

Mike put his finger to his lips, telling me to be quiet, then pointed to the door in the middle. I tried the knob, thanking Jesus that it was unlocked, and gently shut it behind myself.

I didn't know why I was being so quiet but I had a sneaking suspicion that this was Colby's bathroom. Mike was acting like we weren't supposed to be in here. I did what I had to do, then checked my reflection in the mirror.

My dark blonde hair was streaked with platinum highlights, and caramel undertones. I had it done right when I arrived in LA and I was in love with it. Compared to everyone's red, blue, pink, and purple hair around here, it didn't stand out at all though. Maybe I should add a little pop of color to it...maybe red...my hazel eyes left my reflection and glanced around at all of the junk on the counter.

Whoever's bathroom it was, they weren't very keen on keeping it clean. It wasn't dirty exactly, just junked up.

There were clothes on the floor, on the counter, hanging over the shower. Only the floor and the counter were only messy on one side. The other side was spotless...so a shared bathroom then.

I checked my makeup really quick and wiped the smudges away from my eyes, when I heard a deep, rough voice.

"What in the fuck are you doing outside my door Mike?!" It was so guttural that it sent chills all over my body, and I watched my eyes grow wide in the mirror.
