She looked back at me, tears in her eyes.

"No, no, no, Katrina! They're vampires! They'll be fine." I replied urgently, but I was worried too.

I always worried when he left me.

"They always do these jobs. Have been for a long time. Don't worry sweetie." I hugged her, trying to comfort her. "We'll all be fine."

"Yeah, but the other side are vampires too." She sniffled out.

"I know...but our vampires are superior. Just remember that. They're the top of the top for a reason, right?"

We sat there quietly for a short while, until the ill feelings faded and we decided to actually watch something on the laptop. We found stupid little videos that made no sense but were perfect for how we were feeling at the moment. I lost track of time, getting lost in the nonsense that was in front of me while I laughed with Katrina, and just enjoyed myself.

Soon, we switched to watching scary videos because...well, that's just who I am. I love anything spooky, and Halloween is coming up anyways so it's good for the mood.

"Oh my God, I hate his voice." Kat groaned out as I put a Chills video on.

I laughed.

"His voice is perfect for his videos though."

We settled back against the couch, side by side, and got ready to get scared in this dark room, with the curtains blocking out the sun. After a few Chills videos that freaked us out a little, we decided to go harder and watch some Crypt TV.

"You're gonna make me piss myself." Kat replied, her voice still sounding a little drunk.

I giggled.

"It's okay, you live here now. You can change clothes!"

She looked shocked for a minute. "Oh...I forgot about that. We LIVE here now. I mean, technically, we're just staying here for a while but ALL of my stuff is here. Life is weird." She replied, shaking her head. "We moved in with a bunch of blood sucking vamps to keep from being killed by another bunch of blood sucking vamps. What happened?" Her face looked amazed.

Colby's venom was still running through my veins a little, and I couldn't help but laugh at her expression.

"I know right! Who would have thought that we would move here from our little hometown and become involved with the leaders of the strongest vampire clan in LA. Life is weird." I agreed.

We shut up again for a while, and got sucked into a series on Crypt TV that had us ducking down and hiding our faces.

"You stupid bitch, DON'T go TOWARDS the noise! Oh my God, could she- AAAAGGHH!!"

Kat and I both screamed and grabbed one another when the bedroom door busted open, letting the hallway light pour in. Sam and Colby stood at the door, laughing their asses off at us.

"You ASSHOLES!" Kat screamed, as I tried to recover from almost having a heart attack.

"I hate you both." I replied, glaring at them.

I was completely sober now, almost having the life scared out of me. They just chuckled again and walked inside closing the door.

Colby had something dark in his arms that I couldn't see very well in the dark of the room.

"Is that-"

I held my arms out for Prissy, but he backed away.

"Unh uh, you didn't even notice she was gone! I found her curled up next to Circa on her bed. She's been with me the last couple of hours and you didn't even realize it."

Okay, so I hadn't noticed but that was my baby, and I was high for Christ's sake.

"I was fucked up Colby, I didn't notice a lot of things. Now give me my cat. Is she okay? Circa didn't hurt her? She was laying with her? Really?" My mouth started it's usual rambling manner with a million questions.

I was upset at myself for not noticing that she was gone.

"She's fine, Love. Her and Circa are best friends now apparently. Circa wouldn't let any of the other guys come near her. Even Elton. Every time she started hissing when one of them would go near them, Circa would start growling and get in front of her. It was the cutest thing actually." I could hear the adoration in his voice and it honestly touched my heart.

"Aww, does that mean that she can walk around the house now?" I asked.

He shrugged.

"I would say sometimes but probably not when there are a lot of vamps here. She really doesn't like them."

Sam reached over to pet her. She let him, but her body went rigid, and I heard her growl.

He pulled his hand back and shrugged.

"I'm growing on her."

I laughed.

"Okay ladies, we have to go, but we'll be back before sunrise."

I yawned and stood up to take Prissy, and give Colby a hug. "I love you." I sighed against his neck.

"I love you too baby girl. Forever." He kissed me and leaned back. "Be back soon. Get some rest. You've got an important day tomorrow."

I smiled. "Be careful and come home. Both of you." I narrowed my eyes at them both.

"I agree. Come home to us."

"Always." Sam replied, kissing her.

They left the room, and I yawned.

"You wanna go downstairs and get something to eat? I'm hungry and sleepy." I asked Kat.

She laughed.

"That's a mood. We can see if there is anything downstairs but we'll probably have to call PostMates. Vampires, remember? No food."

I groaned. "Damn it. Okay, let's at least check because I don't have any money."

She nodded and we headed downstairs. We didn't pass anyone but I could feel eyes watching me from somewhere. It was creepy.

I was sure that it was Mike or one of them keeping an eye on us but didn't make it feel less weird. We got to the kitchen and I checked the fridge while Kat checked the cabinets.

"Oh my God." I breathed out.

The fridge was completely packed with all kinds of different foods.

"Is it full? Cuz there is so much food over here." Kat exclaimed.
