Looking around, I noticed that I could actually tell who most of the vampires were by the dark circles under their eyes, and the way they carried themselves. I didn't expect there to be quite so many and this was only the kitchen.

A pretty girl with silver hair appeared next to us, and wrapped her arms around Colby.

"Hey lover, haven't heard from you in a while."

She was human...a human that was about to get her head ripped off if she didn't get her hands off of him. Colby looked down at her and smiled. My eyes widened.

Why was he still allowing her to wrap herself around him?

He glanced at me, then reached behind him and took her wrists in his hands, bringing them back in front of him, before dropping them.

 "Hey Riley."

She pushed herself up against him so that their chests were touching. He licked his lips, then took a step back towards me. I was fuming. This bitch was trying to die.

Colby took my hand in his, then looked back at Riley.

"This is Chloe. My girlfriend."

The girl's eyes narrowed and she looked at me.

Colby met my gaze.

"Babe, this is Riley. She's a....friend."

I could tell by the way that he said that and by the scars on her neck that she was more than just a friend. Obviously, I knew that as soon as she draped herself around him. I was going to play nice for a minute though.

These girls knew how Colby was and probably thought I was just another one of many.

"Hey, nice to meet you." I replied, smiling at her slightly.

She looked at me for a moment, before turning back to Colby.

"YOU have a girlfriend? Like, she's the only one that you're with?"

 Colby nodded.

"That's what girlfriend means, doesn't it?" I retorted.

Couldn't help myself.

What wasn't she getting? Riley rolled her eyes at me, then looked back to Colby again.

"Well, if I had known that you were slowing down a little Brock, I would have put in my application. You know you always had more fun with me than the...others." She glanced at me when she said "others."

Oh hell no. I stepped towards her, not really sure what I was going to do but she was pissing me off, and I wasn't thinking about it.

Colby placed his hand on my stomach, and gently pushed me back, shaking his head.

"I wasn't in the market. Chloe snatched me up without me even knowing it."

He pulled me in front of him, my back against his chest, and wrapped his arms around my waist. His chin came down on the top of my head and I smiled at Riley as sweetly as I could. Pretty sure that she could tell that I was being a total bitch since she glared at me.

"Hmmph" She huffed out. "Never thought I would see the day that you would be okay with only fucking one bitch." She smiled at me, then looked back up to Colby. "Remember when me, you, and Millie had that night together?"

I felt his arms stiffen around me.

Her full pink lips spread into a wicked grin, staring at him.

"Yeah, you do. That was a great night. Remember when I let you-"

"Okay, that's enough!" I growled out, struggling against Colby's iron grip around me.

He made it seem like he was being sweet when he pulled me to him, but now I saw that it was just a way to keep me from attacking this bitch.

"I'm sure you want to go all into detail about what you and Colby did just to piss me off. Not gonna lie, you're doing a great job. Let me remind you that all you have are your memories, you petty ass bitch." Her eyebrows shot up into her head, and it just spurred me on. "So you keep remembering, and think about how he's literally fucking me into a coma while all you have are faded images in your brain!" I was almost yelling by now, my anger growing.

She smirked at me, and I lunged at her, but Colby kept his grip.

"Chill." He growled in my ear and I fumed.

"Let me go Colby. You're just gonna stand here and let her talk this shit?? That's so disrespectful! Get your hands off of me!"

Riley grinned at me. "Guess that's what he likes about you. Anyways, if you get bored with this one, you know I'll be around. See ya lover."

She flipped her silver hair and walked off into the hallway, swinging her hips in her short, tight, black leather skirt. Fucking bitch.

"Whore!" I screamed after her, still struggling against Colby's arms. "Will you let me the fuck go??! Now!"

He twisted me around in his arms, still holding tight. "Will you seriously chill? Damn, she was just trying to get a rise out of you and she did. You gave her exactly what she wanted." He rolled his eyes.

Seriously? I poked him in the chest, ignoring the pain from how hard I did it.

Pissed that it didn't faze him at all.

"She didn't get the rise out of me, you did!"

He looked confused. "What did I do? I didn't say anything to her!"

"Exactly my point! You didn't take up for me, or stop her from talking that bullshit!"

He let out an exasperated sigh, and loosened the grip on my arms, letting me pull free. "Oh, for fucks sake Chloe, you're being dramatic. It wasn't that big of a deal. What was I supposed to do? Punch her in the face? She's a human girl, with human girl drama. Nothing that comes out of her mouth is worth hearing."

I sucked in a shocked breath.

His eyes widened and his mouth dropped open a little when he realized what he said.

"You know I didn't mean it like-"

"No, I think you've said enough Colby. Now I know how you really feel. I gotta go to the bathroom." I stalked off, leaving him standing behind me, grabbing a drink on my way out of the kitchen.

Taking a swallow, the sweetness of the drink was delicious, but the liquor burned my throat.
