"Well, Colby certainly has that effect on me. At first, I couldn't stand him, but still thought about him constantly. Now, I still think about him constantly, but I want to be around him all the time. He's so damn sweet."

Tara snorted with laughter. "Sweet? Colby? Damn, You must be something special if he's actually nice to you. I don't think I've ever seen him be nice to anyone, besides us on occasion. Even that's rare."

"He's nice to me." Devyn said softly.

Tara put her hand on Dev's shoulder.

"No, he's polite to you. There's a difference sweetie. It's just cuz you're so damn nice. No one can be rude to you."

Devyn rolled her eyes. I could tell that these girls had a special connection but I needed more answers.

What was it about these guys that made us feel this way?

"Okay, but what about dreams? Did or do you guys have like weird dreams about them?"

Tara raised her eyebrows, while Devyn giggled. Kat just had a confused look on her face.

"Oh honey, I have dreams all the time about Jake. Really vivid, intense dreams, if ya know what I mean," Tara replied so suggestively, I almost blushed.

"I've had normal dreams about Corey. I mean, nice dreams of course. Very nice...but nothing weird about them. Kat?"

Kat just shook her head staring at me. Was I something weird on display now?

"What are these dreams about?" Tara asked.

 I did blush then.

"Well, it's just the one dream. Sometimes it's a little different, but now it's basically the same thing over and over. I go out onto my balcony and Colby pops up out of nowhere. He kisses me...like REALLY kisses me. Sometimes, it would...progress to the bedroom, but it changed last night. It's him telling me that I won't remember it and then I wake up. I didn't remember it very well to start with, but the more the day goes on, the clearer it gets." I glanced up at them.

They were all staring at me, eyes wide. Then Devyn and Tara exchanged a look.

"What?" I asked, blushing full force.

"You sure it didn't actually happen?" Kat asked, swallowing hard.

I lifted one shoulder in a shrug.

"I'm pretty sure that I would remember something like that happening. I remember the other one. Oh!" I clamped my hand to my mouth, not sure if Colby had wanted everyone to know about the mini golf thing.

Dev and Tara laughed again.

"It's okay. We know." So he had told them then. "I think the guys overheard you and Kat talking about it after it happened." Devyn replied. "You can't really keep secrets very well around here. There's always someone listening." I glanced to the bedroom door, wondering if she meant that literally. "I'm sure it was a nice dream. Maybe you've just got a great imagination with being a writer and all."

I raised my eyebrows questioningly. How did she know that?

Devyn noticed and nodded towards Kat.

"Katrina told us. I think it's cool. What kind of stories do you like writing?"

"I kind of like the supernatural aspect to life. You know, ghosts, vampires, werewolves, fairies. That type of thing." I shrugged. "I've always been fascinated by it."

Tara burst out laughing and fell back on the bed. "This is too good!"

Devyn slapped her leg, and tilted her head at her. What was that supposed to mean? I swear they were confusing me almost as much as Colby did. For a house that couldn't hold many secrets, it seemed like that's all there was to me.

 "What now?"

Kat glared at Tara, then looked back at me.

"Nothing. Hey, do you wanna go home tonight or stay here? I'm sure they wouldn't mind letting us stay."

I bit my lip. I hadn't even thought about staying the night. Not really.

"I guess it doesn't matter...Um, where would I sleep?"

Kat made a face at me. "With Colby, duh. Didn't he spend the night with you last night?"

"Well yeah, but He slept on the couch."

"Wait, what?? Colby stayed the night at your place, but slept on the couch? Were you on the couch too? Did he move to the couch after you had sex? I'm so confused right now!" I liked Tara, really I did, but she was as blunt as I was, and now I was beginning to understand why some people thought that I was annoying.

"We didn't do anything...honestly!" I exclaimed, after they all looked at me in disbelief. "We were talking for a long time, just...well, cuddling on the couch, I guess. Then I fell asleep. I woke up in my bed, and found Colby on my couch still asleep." I shrugged again. "That's it. Nothing else."

Tara's mouth was in a perfect O. "WOW," She replied in a hushed tone. "I don't think that I've ever heard of him doing that before. Colby always has sex with the girl. The girl always wants to. My entire life is a lie and I'm confused."

I couldn't help but laugh at her over dramatization, even thought the part about Colby having sex with everyone made my chest ache.

Kat had pulled out her a phone a few minutes ago, and now stood up suddenly, startling me.

"I need to talk to Sam."

She started out the door, but Devyn called her. "Hey wait, Kat!"

She turned back around the door knob in her hand. "Yeah?"

"You're gonna stick around right? He didn't scare you off? It's really not as bad as you think it is. I would hate to lose you as a friend. I think you fit in great here."

Kat chewed her lip, looking at all of us in turn, her eyes finally resting back on Devyn. "Yeah Dev. I don't think I could leave if I wanted to. I love him too much." She looked at me and smiled. "He's always on my mind, even when he pisses me off." Then she winked and walked out the door.
