He gave me a small wink before the lady recovered slightly and gave him her order.

How was it possible to look that good while taking someone's coffee order? How was it possible that this beautiful creature was in love with me, of all people? I was never that lucky.

There was no possible way that this could be real!

He turned to me, and widened his eyes with his lips turning down a little.

"I don't know how to make a Frappucinno..."

I laughed at him, and walked over to the work area. I looked at the customer as I passed and saw her checking Colby out. Again, didn't blame her, but did she have to be quite so obvious about it?

She must have felt me staring at her, because she glanced over at me. I simply raised one eyebrow at her. She started blushing so intensely, I thought that her head was going to explode.

She looked away from both Colby and I, but a few seconds later, her eyes found Colby again. I guess it was impossible not to look at him. I thought back to when I hated him but still found him so irresistible.

Guess I really did understand. I smiled to myself and looked down to the ice that I was blending up right now for the drink. I finished making the drink and passed it to the lady, over the counter.

She thanked me, and glanced back at Colby.

Really? He winked at her, smiled, and wagged his fingers at her. She blushed beet red, and stumbled over her feet trying to get out the door.

"You almost gave the poor woman respiratory failure," I told him, walking over to where he was leaning back against the counter, with his arms crossed over his chest.

He raised both of his eyebrows, and held out his hands.

"What did I do?" he asked, smiling.

I rolled my eyes, then took in his image. He was relaxed against the counter, his hands now reaching behind him to rest on the counter. His black Vans matched his black ripped skinny jeans, two silver chains were attached to his belt loops, hanging down his side.

He was wearing a blue plaid shirt, open at the collar with the hood hanging down his back. His thick silver chains could be seen shining through at the open collar, drawing attention to the lock heart tattoo over his right peck that was peeking through. His nails were painted white, and his fingers were clad with all of his bulky silver rings, including some new ones that I hadn't noticed before.

A big black roaring lion rested on his middle finger. He was wearing his black stud earrings in his lower lobes, and one black helix piercing.

His small black stud nose ring glinted at me, when he grinned at me.

"Why are you staring at me?"

I blushed. I couldn't help it. Damn him.

"You seriously almost made that lady hurt herself...and you didn't do anything but smile at her and stand there. It's not fair that you get to look that damn good. It should be illegal. There is no hope for the female race," I replied, shaking my head dramatically and sighing.

He grinned even larger, his smile covering his face.

"Is that right? You think I'm hot." He said it as a statement, not a question.

That bitch knew he was hot.

I rolled my eyes again.

"You know your eyes are gonna roll right out of your head if you keep doing that so much."

I shrugged. "Can't help it when I'm around you. I just have this uncontrollable urge to keep rolling my eyes."

He rolled his beautiful blue eyes at me. I couldn't help but laugh as he gripped my hips and pulled me close to him.

"I think you're pretty hot too, ya know." His face was so close to mine, I felt his sweet breath on my lips and sighed.

He pushed a lock of my hair behind my ear and leaned forwards, closing the inch between us, pressing his lips against mine. It wasn't intense, but a sweet rolling cloud of emotion, sweeping through my veins. I leaned into him, letting him hold my weight against his body.

We stayed like that for a few minutes, for an eternity. I didn't really know. I didn't really care.

I was happy where I was, in Colby's arms, his lips pressed against mine, his tongue working with mine, and I didn't want it to end. Unfortunately everything ended eventually.

He pulled back from me, then tucked my head against his chest.

"I'm sorry that I'm such a fuck up. I'm sorry that all I ever say to you is I'm sorry. I don't know why you stay with me. Maybe just because a stupid vampire curse is making you."

I leaned my head back, my forehead creased, and looked up to him. "I didn't mean that Colby. I don't know what the LEGEND," I made sure that I emphasized the word. "Has to do with it, or how much it impacts me, or us. I do know that I love you. With everything in me, I love you. I love your smart ass mouth, your beautiful eyes, your sexy body," I let my hands trail down to his butt and squeezed, earning a small grin. "Even if the legend is responsible for us getting together, what does it matter?"

I felt like my entire outlook on the situation had changed. I didn't care if the legend was responsible. I only cared that we were together now.

Even after everything, I only wanted to be with him. He was staring in to my eyes, the little silver ring around the blue flexing a little.

"I guess not. I just want you to know that I know that I would love you even without the legend. I've never met anyone like you. Someone who tried to understand me, and tries to work with me, even when I'm being a total dick and pushing you away." He shook his head. "I still don't understand it, but I'm selfish enough to let you stay."

I lay my head against his chest again and sighed. "You should probably go. Jeff will be back soon, and I still have a few hours to work. We don't need another episode."
