I had a good buzz going on.

"Let's go dance," I told Colby, grabbing his arm and pulling him back towards where the other girls were.

Kat and Sam were right behind us. We joined everyone else on the dance floor, where they were already wrapped up in each other. The single guys, Mike, Kevin, Elton, and Aryia were with random girls, dancing up against them.

The girls didn't seem to mind at all. I smiled, watching everyone have a great time. This is exactly what I needed after everything that had happened.

Just a carefree night with no worries. Nothing but fun. I'm not sure how long we were dancing, but it was amazing.

Colby swung me around, making my head spin at the speed, then brought me back against his hard body, dipping me. He laughed at my expression, and leaned down to kiss me, while I lay back in his arms. I wound my arms around his neck and pressed my lips harder against his.

He brought me back up, keeping our lips connected, digging his fingers into the bare skin of my back. When he broke the kiss, I was breathing heavily, glancing up to meet his gaze. His face was carefree, no signs of stress or worry at all.

He was happy, and I could see it in every aspect of his face. His eyes were shining their bright blue, his lips drawn back in one of his big smiles that took over his entire face, pushing his cute little cheeks up. In this moment, he looked more like a young boy than I had ever seen him, instead of the hard man that I was used to seeing.

"Having fun?" he asked, placing his hands on my hips and grinding with me to the music.

I nodded, and grabbed his hands.

"I'm having a blast, but I'm hot and tired. Human, remember? I need something to drink because I'm losing my buzz and I'm thirsty. I'll be right back."

"I'm going with you," he replied, taking back the hand that I had just dropped from his.

I shook my head.

"Stay with your boys. It's just to the bar and back. I'll be fine. I promise, I'll scream if anyone comes near me." He glared at the way I was being flippant, and I just giggled at his hard expression. "I'll get the girls to go with me. Tara too, so we'll have some muscle. I'm not totally helpless, you know. I was taking care of myself before I met you."

He raised one eyebrow at me, and brought his bottom lip into his mouth, catching it with his teeth. "Not from vampires."

Okay, he had a point...

But that's what Tara was for.

"Tara!" I called out.

 She glanced over to me.

She had her back pressed up against Jake's front, with one of her arms reaching up and behind his neck, dancing against him, as he held her hips.

"Can you come with me to the bar? Colby said that I need a baby sitter, and I need to go to the bathroom."

She smiled and nodded, turning to give Jake a quick kiss. She tapped Kat and Dev, nodding towards me and they followed. Guess we were going to the restroom as an entourage.

I never understood why girls always went to the bathroom together, but now I kind of did. So we could talk about the guys, and help each other look our best again.

"Don't worry Colby, I won't let anything happen to her," Tara said as they reached us, and she wrapped her tiny arm around my waist.

He touched his tongue to his top teeth, holding her gaze for a moment before he nodded. Why did I feel like I was having to ask my parents for permission to do something?

Guess that Colby was my Daddy, huh?

Ha! Good thing I didn't say that out loud. Maybe I hadn't completely lost my buzz.

"Okay, drinks, then bathroom," I said, heading towards the bar.

Colby snatched me back, pulling me against him, and pressed his lips against mine, his tongue invading my mouth before I even knew what was happening. I moaned into his mouth, and melted against his body. He pulled back and smirked at me, knowing what he was doing.

"I hate you," I replied, jokingly.

"Yeah, hate you too," He said, smacking my ass as I walked away with the girls.

We grabbed a few more drinks, then walked towards the bathroom. It was in a dimly lit hallway that would probably have freaked me out if I were alone. The yellow florescent light barely did anything to help me see, in the foggy room.

The line wasn't too bad, maybe 4 or 5 girls in front of us waiting. There were groups going in, just like us, so I hoped the wait wouldn't be too long. I really had to pee.

Guys, human and vamps were passing us, going in and out of the men's restroom.

"Why can't we be like that?" I asked, pointing towards them. "They're just in and out, no time at all."

The girls laughed.

"Because we have to make ourselves beautiful sweetie," Devyn joked, flipping her hair back.

I grinned and moved up in the line.

"Hey there ladies," a drawling voice sounded from behind me.

I turned, seeing a man lean up against the wall on his elbow, putting his hand behind his head. He was a vamp. I could automatically tell.

I didn't like his vibe at all.

"You don't wanna start this brother. Leave," Tara said, baring her fangs at him.

He just chuckled, and swung his dark hair back from his forehead.

"I think I know what I can handle sweetheart." His voice was deep and menacing, giving me chills in a bad way.

I jerked a little when he placed his hand on my hip suddenly and pulled me against him.

"I think I like you the most," his breath was wet, and smelled of whiskey and copper.

 I almost gagged.

"Get your hands off of me," I demanded, keeping my voice steady, and pushing against his chest.

"No, I don't think I will," he laughed out.

I heard Tara say Colby's name, and felt her shift closer behind me.
