The next morning I was woken my my cousin Lily. "Why did you two fall asleep on the couch?" Lily asked after waking me up. I sat up and looked around, "no idea." I said groggily. Lily was dressed in black jeans, and a pretty green sweater. And if I wasn't mistaken, had straightened her hair. I tossed a pillow at Harley to wake her up, "I'm up!" She said loudly, sitting up. She looked around, saw me, I pointed at Lily with my eyes, and Harley looked at Lily. Harley shot me a look, and smirked. "So uh, Lily. Where are you going today?" I asked. Lily blushed and looked at me and Harley suspiciously. "Hogsmead, why?" She asked slowly. "No reason." Harley said with a smile. "Yea, just wondering who your going with?" I asked with a raised eyebrow. "Um- no one- not really- erm" Lily began to stutter. Harley and I began to laugh, "ok, so what's his name?" I asked. Lily blushed once more, "well I'm not really, going with anyone. More as looking for someone?" Lily said shyly. I sat up, "no way, you have a crush!" I whispered. Lily didn't say anything. "Okay, so who is it?" I asked urgently. Lily looked at me, "promise not to get mad?" She asked. I nodded my head. "It's Brandon Woods." She said quietly. "Wait- did you say Brandon Woods? As in Gryffindor team captain? That guy?" I asked with wide eyes. She nodded her head slowly, "isn't he- well- a bit old for you?" I asked awkwardly. "He's only seventeen!" Lily said defiantly. "And your barley fifteen." Harley finished for me. Lily rolled her eyes, "it's only a two year difference. And besides, it's none of your business." Lily said, sticking her nose in the air. She walked out of the common room angrily. I looked at Harley, "uncle Harry REALLY isn't going to like that very much is he?" I said with a grin. Harley jumped up and dragged me upstairs. "Calm yourself, why the sudden burst of energy?" I asked as Harley slammed our dormitory door shut and began to pull out clothes from her trunk. "Well I have a date with Albus, and I know for a fact your going with Scorpius." She said as she pulled out a pair of boots. "Yea, so?" I asked with a raised eyebrow. She looked at me with wide eyes, "so? Get dressed! Wait, on second thoughts, I'll find you clothes." She said as she began to pull out clothes from my trunk. "Wait- what? I can dress myself!" I said defiantly. Harley ignored me and continued to pull out clothes. Once she was satisfied with what she picked she tossed me my clothes. "Now get dressed." She said happily. I was just pulling over the top she gave me when a sudden thought came to my head. "Harley." I said quietly. "Hm?" She asked as she did her makeup. "How are Scorpius and I going to go on a date if- if we can't be seen together?" I asked, looking up at her. She froze for awhile, then looked at me with sorrowful eyes. "I don't know Rosie... I really don't..." She said in an apologetic voice. I nodded my head and continued to get dressed. When I was done I was wearing blue skinny jeans with a nice dark brown dress shirt that fitted my body perfectly. I had matching brown boots on as well. Harley curled my hair with her wand so when she was done I looked quite a bit different. "you look beautiful." Harley said with a sad grin. I nodded my head, "I wish we would hurry up and tell people... I feel like I could handle my father..." I began to say, but I don't think it was my father I was scared about. What would Scorpius's father say? Or worse, what would he do? I walked over to my mirror and put on the sapphire necklace Scorpius had gotten me for Christmas. I turned it over to see the back were "M" was engraved in silver on the sapphire diamond. I grabbed my bag, said bye to Harley, and walked out of the room. As I entered the common room, my face cast downward, "Rose?" I looked up and saw Brandon Woods looking at me with wide eyes. I smiled at him awkwardly and continued to walk towards the exit. I ran quickly down the steps and made my way to the entrance hall, where I felt a tingle in my back pocket. I pulled out the message parchment.
"When you get to Hogsmead, meet me behind the tiny new book store that just opened. Love you -SM"
I smiled at the note, folded the paper and began to make my way to Hogsmead. As I walked along the dirt rode, the small breeze whistled through my curly red hair. After about ten minutes I arrived in the small village, and began to make my way to the tiny book store that had just opened last year. I made sure no one was watching me, and I walked to the back of the book store, where I found no one. I leaned against the wall and waited, and after awhile the platinum blonde hair and silver eyes of Scorpius arrived. He walked over, kissed me on my cheek, grabbed my wrist, and started to pull me up the alley that was behind the store. "Uh- Scorpius? Where are we going?" I asked. He didn't respond, he just kept pulling me along. "If we go any farther, we'll end up in the forest." I said trying to pull my wrist away. "That's the idea." He said simply. I yanked my wrist away and looked at him, "Do you trust me?" He asked with pleading eyes. "Yes?" I said looking at him suspiciously. "Then let's go." He said, waving me over to follow him. Soon we were at the edge of the forest, looking over the busy village of Hogsmead. "Why are we here exactly?" I asked. Scorpius pulled out his wand and whispered something I couldn't hear. A basket was conjured out of thin air. He looked up at me with sparkling eyes, "ok, close your eyes." He said with a smile. I closed my eyes and sighed. After about five minutes, "ok, can I open my eyes now?" I whined. I heard Scorpius chuckle, "alright, now." He said. I opened my eyes and saw a picnic laid out on the ground. There was a blanket with little throw pillows scattered around the food. "Wow- but- people could see us." I said sadly. Scorpius's smile got wider, "Nope." He said happily. "What do you mean?" I asked, unsure. "I cast a concealment charm! Anyone who comes near by 10ft, will automatically feel like they forgot something and leave, and no one can see us now." He said wrapping his arms around my waist. "So you mean, I can do this." I kissed him swiftly, "and no one sees it?" I asked with a smirk. He looked around as if trying to see if someone did, shrugged his shoulders, and shook his head. "No one." He said happily. I threw my arms around him and kissed him, outside of the castle walls, in day light. "I've always wanted to do that!" I said happily, kissing him again. He chuckled against my lips. "Merlin your weird." He whispered, resting his forehead on mine. I closed my eyes blissfully as the wind whistled around our bodies. In daylight. Outside! "Hey Rose?" He asked quietly. "Hm?" There was a pause. "I'm hungry." He said firmly, making me laugh, and ruining the moment. We sat down on the blanket and began to eat. "Now tell me miss Weasley, where did you find such a beautiful piece of jewelry." He asked dramatically, making his voice deep and fancy. I began to laugh at his weirdness. "Why thank you mr. Malfoy, it was a gift." I said equally dramatic. We both laughed. I laid down on my back, my head resting on one of the throw pillows as I looked up at the clear sky. Scorpius laid down as well, except he used my leg as his pillow. "You know Weasley, this almost feels normal. Being out in public with you." He said softly. I sat up so I could look down into his silver eyes, I played with his hair fondly. His hair was soft and silky, he closed his eyes at my touch. "Yea, except we arnt in public technically." I said with a sigh. Scorpius opened his eyes and looked into mine. "I want Al to know... But I don't know how to tell him." He said quietly. I thought about it for awhile, I didn't have a clue of what to do either. "We can figure something out I'm sure." I said softly. Suddenly I heard the giggling of girls, and I looked up to see my female cousins walking up the hill, making me fall silent. "I can't believe Lily has a thing for Woods!" Dominique said in disbelief. "I hope she doesn't get hurt..." Roxanne said quietly. Suddenly the two stopped moving. "I just remembered! I should be trying to find dress colors for the bridesmaid gowns!" Dominique said urgently. Roxanne nodded her head in agreement, "and I was suppose to help you!" I watched as both of my cousins ran down the hill and back towards the stores and shops in the village. "I guess your charms worked..." I said quietly. I looked down to see Scorpius's eye closed, and a smirk on his face. "I'm a charming person, what can I say?" He said silkily. I rolled my eyes and dropped a pillow on his face, making him sit up. "Ow!" He said. I fell on my back laughing at his pitiful expression. "You don't play very fair Weasley." He growled. I just laughed harder. I heard him sigh heavily, "why must you do this to me, love? Now you must pay the price." He said simply. I stopped laughing and looked up. He pinned my arms to the ground and looked into my face. I began to squirm, trying to escape. It was pointless. He smirked devilishly at my situation. I narrowed my eyes at him as I watched his eyes travel from my face to down my body. "I seem to remember a similar situation, not long ago." He said quietly, whispering in my ear. Shivers soared through my body. "Give in Weasley?" He whispered. And the memory of the party the year before where I had kissed him, being drunk, swam through my mind. "I was drunk, you can't hold me to that." I pouted. He laughed at my expression as he rested his forehead against mine. "You really are too cute for your own good." He said quietly. I smiled and stuck my nose in the air, "I know." I said mockingly. He rolled his eyes and kissed me. "So Mr. Malfoy, tell me. How would you feel about attending my cousins wedding with me?" I asked with a raised eyebrow and a smirk. Scorpius pretended to think about it, smirked, and looked into my eyes. "I might be available." He said with a nod. "But arnt you already invited?" I asked, he nodded his head grimly. He let me sit up so we could be eye level. "Why so depressed about it?" I asked with a raised eyebrow. He shook his head, "I'm not depressed to be going, but I'm not thrilled my family is going." He sighed. This stunned me a little, why would his family be attending a Weasley wedding? "But why would your family attend-?" I asked. He picked up a strawberry and began to nibble at it. "Well, they are pretty self absorbed. And the world basically hates us, so they attend all of their family gatherings, hoping it can get them bumped up on the ministry scale." He said gruffly. "But-?" I began to ask how that has to do with us but he answered for me. "Me and Teddy are related, I think we are like second or third cousins or something like that? On his mothers side." He said, tossing the strawberry stem away. "I forgot you two were related! It's just hard to see Teddy, and well- a Malfoy being even remotely related." I said. Scorpius nodded his head, "you and me both, he's actually fun." He said with a grin. I gave him a look, "your fun too." He shook his head, "just because I have his last name, doesn't make me a Malfoy. I've been at your house more than I've been in my own home! So I think I technically grew up with your family." I rolled my eyes at his words. "So if you have any humor in your bones it's thanks to me?"'I said with a smirk. He shook his head, "no, any bruising I have is usually from you." He laughed as I chucked a pillow at his head. "Besides, you've never been to my home. Not that the Burrow isn't my home, I only stay there on holidays though." I said. Scorpius seemed curious about this, "wait, so the room I snuck in to see you at the Burrow, isn't YOUR room?" He asked in awe. I shook my head, "well sort of, it's just more of a guest room. Honestly did you think my entire family lived there or something?" I asked with raised eyebrows. His silence answered my question, "no! We all live somewhere els, but on holidays, grams has this thing where she needs to see the entire family." I said simply. He rested his chin on his hand, "okay, so where do all of you live than?" He asked softly. I shrugged my shoulders, "I don't live anywhere special. It's more of a cottage really, and there's a big yard and on the side there's a forest, and there's a pond with weird fish inside. My family and I use to walk there all the time and have picnics, and it was just really fun. Not my whole family, just my mom, dad, and brother..." I didn't realize I was smiling as I said this. I felt a pang of sadness hit my stomach as I thought about the days when my family had time to spend together, and now we couldn't. I quickly started talking again before Scorpius could notice anything, "but yea, um. And Fluer and Bill live in shell cottage on the beach with Victorie, Dominique, and Louis. Percy lives in London somewhere, we don't visit his house because he usually complains about "space" and crap. Charlie lives in Romania still, Harry, Ginny, Albus, and Lily all live in a cute house in Godrics Hollow. But I'm sure you've been there before. And as for George, he and Angelina live in Diagon Alley with Roxanne. No one really knows where Fred and James are, they send us letters. But they are traveling a lot lately." I finished with a deep breath, and when I looked up at Scorpius I saw that he was smirking at me and shaking his head. "What?" I asked. He shook his head again, "nothing. I'm just kind of jealous of your family is all." He said quietly. I scooted closer to him and entwined my fingers into his. "They're your family too, you should know that by now." I said softly. Scorpius smirked, "I'd love to see our fathers faces at those words." He whispered, bringing his face closer so we were nose to nose. I shrugged my shoulders, "why not. We can make the wedding our coming out party." I said with a laugh. Scorpius didn't say anything, he simply held onto the back of my neck and pulled me into a melting kiss.
