Y/n Pov:

I was really bored and me and Niall were just watching silly cartoons until I thought of an idea

" Ni can we please go to the park, ya know after all you are my favorite brother " I said giving him the cute smile nobody can resist

" alright alright since I'm you favorite and you are mines as well just don't tell Greg " he said laughing while putting his slides on

We walked to the park and I immediately spotted the swings

" look Ni come push me " I said running, I heard Niall calling me but didn't listen I just kept going all the way to the swings

" hey you little stinker I told you to wait for me " he said tickling me

" I know I'm sorry I got excited " I said as he started pushing me

Maybe like 5 minutes later I told him he could sit on the bench I wanted to go down the slide until I saw a pretty butterfly, it was white and looked sparkly so I went down the slide and chased after it

I didn't notice how far I was going until the butterfly suddenly disappeared and I was no where near a park

" Nialler?" I called out but could see him " Niall where are you " i said panicking alittle " oh no I think I'm lost oh no Nialls gonna hate me for walking away " I said tearing up

I saw a bench and decided to sit on it and cry because I didn't want to walk any farther and probably go missing forever.

Niall Pov: I got a call from my mum saying she wanted to talk to y/n because y/n wanted to go to this birthday party and the mother of the kid called mines saying the party was cancelled because the kid got sick and she didn't want any other sick, so I got off the bench and looked around and called out for y/n but when I couldn't find her I got a little nervous because i realized she actually wasn't anywhere in the park

" mum I think I might have lost
y/n were at the park and I looked away for maybe 5 minutes and now she's gone " I said but my mum didn't answer until like 30 seconds later when she was screaming her head off

" WHAT DO YOU MEAN SHES LOST " " OMG NIALL YOU SHOULD HAVE WATCHED HER " " HOW DID YOU LOSE YOUR LITTLE SISTER "

I hung up on my mom because her yelling wasn't going to help me find y/n do I asked a few people if they saw her

" have you seen a little girl with brown hair blue eyes and was wearing a yellow top with blue shorts and white sandals "

A few people said no and some said she was chasing a butterfly
which of course I knew was true because she's easily distracted by the littlest things

Y/n Pov:

I wonder if Niall even knows I'm missing, I'm really scared now because there are a lot of other big people that keep passing me and I'm scared to ask for help until I saw a police officer and Niall always told me never to be scared of them because they were always here to help

I ran to the police women and immediately ran to her crying

" I need help " I said crying again

"what's wrong honey are you lost" she asked as I nodded

" alright well can you tell me who you were with before you got lost "

" me and my big b-brother were at the park and I saw a p-retty butterf-fly and I chased it and when I looked around I didn't know where I was " I said crying even more as she picked me up and tried calming me down but I just wanted Niall

" alright well I know there's a park a few streets down from here and tell me if you were at that park ok" she said as I nodded and she put me in the back seat

Niall Pov:

I started crying because I've just lost my life, y/n is the most important thing to me and I told myself I'd never forgive myself if something were to happen to her

I was sitting at a bench when I heard somebody call my name and when I looked up it was y/n running to me with tears on her face and an officer behind her

I ran to her and picked her up holding her tightly

" I'm so sorry y/n I'm such a bad brother I'm really really sorry " I said breaking down again

" no I'm sorry ni ni I saw a butterfly and I was chasing it but when it flew away I didn't know where I was but then I saw ms.Angi and remembered what you said about officers always there to help us so I asked for help  and I finally got to you" she said holding on to me very tightly

" im just glad your safe and your with me again, thank you so much officer " I said with relief

" don't worry about I'm happy you guys are back together I'll see you guys around " she said waving and walking away

" mums gonna kill me " I said walking hand and hand with y/n walking back home

" well if she's going to kill you then she should kill me to it's kinda my fault anyways " she said smiling looking up at me

"I love you and I'm really sorry ni" she said making me smile

" I love you to princess and I'm also really sorry I should have been paying attention to you " I said picking her up and kissing her cheek

" am I still your favorite " I asked laughing

" forever and always Ni " she said putting her head on my shoulder
