Niall Pov:

I was waiting for y/n at the exit of her grade door and she's usually all bubbly and happy and quickly runs over to me but this time she walked with her head down and immediately latched on to my torso

" what's wrong sweetheart " I asked as she just shook her head

" just tired " she said holding her arms up for me to carry her

" alright come on you can nap in the car, we're going to uncle Greg's house so we can swim in his new pool it's finally finished "

I said as she smiled a bit

" ok " she said wrapping her arms around my neck putting her head down

As I was putting her in the car she asked

" daddy would you ever be mad at me " she said making me wonder why she'd ask that

" no of course not, unless you did something naughty " I said kissing her cheek making her smile and sit back in her car seat

25 minutes driving to Greg's house I got a call from y/n's teacher

T- teacher / N- Niall

T: hello Mr.Horan it's Ms.Summer, y/n's teacher how are you

N: oh hello I'm great, how are you

T: I'm great, so wait are you busy right now should I call at a better time for you?!

N: no it's alright I'm just driving to my brothers house right now but I could talk theres a bit of traffic anyways

T: ok alright so not sure if you knew or not but today's y/n's class  had a test today

N: no actually she didn't tell me about it

T: oh ok so yes she had a test today and her scores weren't very good, she got a 55 on her test and I know y/n's a very good student she's very smart and this is actually the first test she has failed

N: oh ok thanks for letting me is there anyway she could retake it

T: yes actually I was just about to say, y/n is very smart and I know she could do much better but she did seem a little distracted so I'd like for you to study with her and she could retake it on Monday

N: yes that would be amazing thank you very much I'll talk with her about it

T: no problem Mr.Horan have a nice weekend see you on Monday

N: thank you, hope you have a nice weekend to bye

Once we get to Greg's house, Theo ran to hug y/n

" hi y/n come on let's go swimming " he said pointing to the backyard

" I don't have my swimsuit on like you Theo " she said giggling

" go get it on hurry pleaseee your my favorite big cousin " he said jumping up and down holding her hand

" alright Theo I'll go get y/n ready meet you outside " I told him as he nodded and ran to the yard where Greg and Denise followed him

I took y/n to the spare room where we would be staying until Sunday afternoon

" here y/n go change in the bathroom then I need to talk to you " I said as she nodded and seemed a bit scared

I quickly changed before she came out and once she came out I sat her on my lap

" ok y/n we need to have a talk about that test you took today " I said and she immediately started crying

" I'm sorry daddy please don't be mad at me " she said crying as I just held her

" y/n y/m/n Horan I promise you I'm not mad at you at all " I said as she looked up at me and wiped her eyes

" your not? " she said as I nodded

" Monday your teacher said you can retake the test and we're gonna study alittle but tomorrow and Sunday so you can get a better grade because I know my little girl is very smart " I said as smiled softly wiping her tears and sniffling trying to calm down

" I tried really hard daddy i just didn't understand some of them and I kept getting distracted " she said leaning into my chest

" I know and as long as you tried that's all that matters, but is that why you were so sad when you came out of school" I asked as she nodded

" I thought you would be mad at me " she said looking up at me

" I could never be mad at you unless you did something naughty and you know it missy, I love you very much " I said kissing her head and bringing her out to the pool

" hey ni how's it going, awe y/n were you crying are you alright " Greg asked as y/n nodded and I put her down and she ran to Theo and Denise so they could get there floaties on

" I'm great, y/n failed a test today and she's pretty upset about it " I said as he nodded his head understanding

" listen I have beer want some "
he said as I laughed

" do I want beer? Is that even a question " I said laughing as we both ran inside to get beer

Through the day we all had fun and had a barbque and it was all great

Saturday and Sunday me and y/n studied a bit and on Monday she re took the test getting at 90% making us both happy 😊
