I knocked on the door twice before he answered. The door swung open and Mark stood at the door. He was dressed in a pair of jeans and a dark green hoodie.
"Hey, thank you so much for taking Zola tonight I really appreciate it" I spoke as I walked though the door holding Zola in my arms.
"No worries it's the least I can do" he replied as I put Zola down to play with Sofia
"Hi Lexie" Sofia squealed as she ran into my arms
"Hey sweetie" I replied as we shared a hug.
I then let her go so she could play with Zola.
There was a moment of silence between myself and Mark he broke the silence by asking
"What time does the party start?"
"Uh 6 ish I think, I'm guessing that Jackson is not here yet?"
"No he should be here soon"
I nodded "is it alright if I use your bathroom to get changed?"
"Of course you can Lex you don't have to ask"
"Thanks"
I walked off into Marks bathroom. It hasn't changed. All my stuff is still scattered on the counter and in the draws. If I'm being honest, things have been a bit weird since our argument, it's as if we are in a bit of a funky state in our relationship. I'm still staying at Merediths because it again feels weird. But I hope with time that it gets better.
I began getting myself ready, my curling iron was still in the draws so I began curling my hair followed by applying a little bit of natural make up. I then heard a knock at the door which meant that Jackson, April, and Harriet were here.
I quickly slipped my clothes off and changed into my outfit

I then walked out of the bathroom and into the open living area where everyone (Mark, April, Jackson, Harriet, Sofia, and Zola) were.
As soon as I entered I noticed Marks head lift up and stare at me, I don't think he knew that I knew. A rush of heat warmed my cheeks and I smiled walking towards April.
"Wow Lex you are so gorgeous" she complimented with a smile
(Authors note: Derek and Alex also joined Mark and Jackson I just forgot to write them in)
"Thanks and so do you. Doesn't she look amazing Jackson" I asked showing off April's outfit to him
"She looks more than amazing" he replied giving her a wink
I smiled at the two. I was so happy for them.
"We better go Lexie before the girls get mad" April spoke
I agreed and we said our goodbyes to everyone. I began walking out the door when Mark grabbed my hand and turned me around to face him. He was leaning against the door.
