I woke up to the bright sun shining through, warming my face up. My eyes slowly adjusted to the light as Meredith walked in from the bathroom. She helped me up and helped me walk to the living room. As I entered I saw Mark sleeping so peacefully on the couch I usually sit on. We walked over and Meredith placed me on the edge of the couch.

I stared at him for a while. Just being grateful that I had him in my life. Thankful that he stuck by me for the time I was being treated in the hospital and now. He began to walk up, we locked eyes and he smiled.

"How are you feeling?" he asked

"I'm doing okay. I still got nightmares last night and I'm still suffering from the trauma. But I'm holding on" I smiled

He smiled back and sat up pulling me into a hug.

"How was your night?" I asked as we let go of each other

"It was great. I loved catching up with the guys. I really needed it" He spoke with the biggest smile on his face

I was happy for Mark, that he was able to escape from me for the night. But I couldn't help but feel a slight bit jealous. I hadn't spent time with any of my close friends since coming home from the hospital and I truly missed it. The only person I had spend quality time with was Meredith and I loved her and the time we spent together, I just missed my other friends.

The idea of inviting my best friends over for the night crossed my mind. I mean I could do it. I was way healthier physically now than I was at the hospital and it would be good for my mental health. I could have the girls over tonight and even the guys for Mark. It would be the first gathering for the whole gang since the crash.

"Hey" I whispered to Mark

"Do you mind if the girls come over tonight? and you can invite the guys?" I asked

He thought about it for a while and smiled "of course, but who would look after all the kids?"

I thought for a bit "They can come here. Everyone loves the children and it's better than hiring a nanny"

Mark agreed and sent out messages to everyone explaining the plans for tonight. I moved to the kitchen with the help of Meredith and sat on a seat at the breakfast counter. I was served a coffee and we talked about the get-together. I was so excited I missed everyone and couldn't wait for their company.

A few hours rolled by and it was now 5 pm. I was now sitting on the couch in Mark's arms. Meredith left at around lunchtime to clean her house and get herself, Derek, and Zola ready. The time went by slowly which I hated because I was eager to see my friends. But I soaked up the time with Mark.
