Okay, before I start drooling over you let's begin the interview🥰

QH: 🙂 okay.

Li: Your book was first recommended by a fan of yours Shivran86 and they had some questions proposed for you. 

Now I am going to be starting with those questions.

☘️What inspired this story, "A Dead Man's Tale?

QH: The inspiration for this story came partially from the ONC 2021 prompt (of which this was an entry as well) and partially from my love for Egyptian history especially the eighteenth dynasty period.

Everything about that period is so intense and interesting!

Li: Hmm awesome your grace🥰 Tell me, did any book or movie add to your inspiration?

QH: 'Death Comes As The End' by Agatha Christie and Tutankhamen: 'The Book of Shadows' 

They helped me a lot with the construction of the plot.

Li: That's really great. A lot of new writers forget to look into other well written books for help and ideas. Thank you for sharing your Highness🥰

Moving on, why did you decide to go with Medjays, murder and detective drama in Egypt? And you didn't end there, you made it happen during the reign of Hatshepsut!

QH: Well. . .what can I say🤔

Hatshepsut plays a very very important role in the Dead Duology (of which A Dead Man's Tale is the first book).
