Draco and Lilith leave the owl emporium and let out a big sigh. Lilith runs her hands through her hair and raises her head to the sky in frustration. Draco looks at her a little worried.

He places his hand on her back, "You ok, Lia?".

"Yeah Dray. I'm fine. We couldn't have one day, could we?".

He laughs quietly, "I guess not".

Severus, Tom and Lucius come out of the store and walk next to the other two. Tom stretches his arm out and hands Lilith the cage with her new owl inside.

She takes the cage, smiling up at Tom, "Thanks grandpa. Almost forgot about her".

Severus starts walking up to her, puts down the owl cage and holds her shoulders.

"Everything alright, baby?".

"Yeah, daddy. I'm fine. Just a bit frustrated".

"I get that. I'm sorry our day out was ruined by Weasley and Granger. Is there anything else you want to do?".

"It's ok, at this point I just want to go home and give Midnight a big cuddle".

Severus giggles, "Alright baby, we can go home. Do you want Uncle Lucius and Draco to come back with us?".

As she nods, he gives her a big hug. As he turns to Tom and Lucius, Lilith leans down and grabs the owl cage. As she goes to hold Severus and Tom's arms, Draco goes and holds his father's. The five of them apparate and end back up in the living room of Riddle Manor. Lilith rubs her hands on her face and lets out a big sigh.

Tom looks at her worryingly, "You sure you're ok, sweetheart?".

"Yeah grandpa. Just need to go lie down for a bit. Come on Draco".

Draco follows Lilith upstairs to her room. Just before they enter, they hear a small meow and Lilith feels something run across her legs. Looking down, she sees the black cat her father got her for her 5th birthday. She picks up the cat and gives it a little kiss on its forehead.

"Hi Midnight. You miss me, bubba?".

He gives her a little lick on the nose, as Draco laughs and gives him a scratch behind the ears. The two of them enter her bedroom and sit on her bed, playing with Midnight.

While this is happening, the three men downstairs sit on the couches in the living room, discussing what happened throughout the day.

"Well that was an interesting turn of events", Lucius remarks.

Severus responds, "Yes it was. I just wish Lil wasn't in the middle of all of it".

"Yeah. But she handled it well. She's a good kid Sev, very confident. A bit of a temper but it was the Weasleys so I honestly can't blame her".

Tom nods, "At least she stood up for Draco and herself. She definitely learnt that from you, son".

Severus laughs, "I guess. If anything, her confidence comes from you. Ever since she was little, you taught her to be confident in her magic and values".

Lucius interjects, "That reminds me. Tom, something happened at Ollivander's when Lilith got her wand".

"What do you mean? Did Ollivander do something to her?".

"No, no. Not at all. It's just that when it was her turn to pick out a wand from the line up as usual, Ollivander looked at her, went 'Interesting' and grabbed a wand from under the counter. Apparently, when he looked into her eyes, he saw a great magical potential and very powerful core".

"Really? What kind of wand did she get?".

"Uh, I believe it was ash wood, phoenix feather core and I think around 12, 12½ inches long. He said it was very powerful and should be able to showcase how powerful she is".

Severus looks at him, shocked, "That's incredible".

"That's what I thought as well, and that's what I wanted to ask you about, Tom. I know for a fact that Severus does not have that kind of power. You do, but you're not biologically her grandfather, which, if you were, you make sense about where it came from. So do you have any idea where it might be from?".

Tom sighs, "Honestly, I don't really know. Severus' mother was a witch, but not that powerful. Son, do you know if Lil's mother had great magic?".

Severus ponders, "I have no idea. Maybe, I mean that would make sense. Otherwise, I have absolutely no clue where you got it from. You don't think something happened to her before she came to me?".

Lucius responds, "There's a small chance, but I highly doubt it, Sev. Tom and Narcissa ran diagnostics when she arrived themselves and found nothing. Maybe we shouldn't read too much into it".

"Lucius is right, son. Let's not worry too much about it and just be glad she has this incredible magical core, that could become very useful for her future endeavors".

Severus smiles at the two, "You're right. The more I try to figure this out, I'll probably end up insane and Lil does not need that around her. Plus, she has always said she wants to be your heir, father".

"Hm, very true. She'd make a fine leader one day".

The three men nod and change the subject to preparing the children for Hogwarts. Better not to dwell on how Lilith got this much power, they're sure that the answer will reveal itself in the future. Just got to give it time.
