Lilith and Draco are standing on the quidditch pitch, alongside other Slytherins and across from some Gryffindors. The flying teacher, Madam Hooch, stands at the end with a pile of brooms next to her. She waves her wand and the brooms start flying, one being placed on the floor next to each student.

"Good afternoon students. My name is Madam Hooch and welcome to your first flying lesson. Well, what are you all waiting for? Everybody step up to the left side of their broomstick. Stick your right hand out over the broom and say, 'up'!".

All the students yell, "Up!".

The broom flies right into Lilith and Harry's hand. Draco turns to her, impressed.

Draco yells, "Up!".

The broom flies into his hand and he smirks at Hermione, who seems to be struggling.

Madam Hooch calls out, "With feeling!".

Hermione yells, her broom slowly rising, "Up! Up! Up!".

Ron attempts, "Up!".

His broom whacked him in the nose, making him stagger backwards. Harry sees this and laughs, as well as other students. Ron then starts to laugh as well after he recovered.

Madam Hooch rolls her eyes, "Now, once you've got hold of your broom, I want you to mount it. And grip it tight, you don't want to be sliding off the end".

The class mounts their brooms.

"When I blow my whistle, I want each of you to kick off from the ground, hard. Keep your broom steady, hover for a moment, and then lean forward slightly and touch back down. On my whistle...3...2...".

She blows the whistle. For one of the Gryffindor boys, Neville Longbottom, his broomstick somehow lifts him off the ground. He looks quite frightened as it immediately takes off.

Madam Hooch calls out, "Mr. Longbottom!".

He yells, "Ahhhh! Help!!!".

Harry also calls out, "Neville!".

He skyrockets and files uncontrollably in the air. He hits a wall, conking along it and then swooping off. All the while, he is screaming. He begins to zoom back towards the group of students. Madam Hooch holds out her wand to stop him. Her and the other students dive out of the way as he flies right through them. He zooms past a statue of a man with a spear, which Neville's cloak got caught on. He is flipped off the broom and hangs there.

Neville starts flailing around, causing the spear to go further through the cloak. He fell and the cloak got caught on a torch, making him slip out of the cloak and fall to the ground. The group starts to crowd around him.

Madam Hooch yells, "Everyone out of the way!".

The group scatters and she leans down to Neville, helping him stand up since it seemed he had broken his wrist after he fell.

"Oh dear. Come one now, up you get".

Draco notices something next to his feet, a Remembrall, which seemed to have fallen out of his cloak. He picks it up as Madam Hooch starts leading Neville away.

"Everyone's to keep their feet firmly on the ground while I take Mr. Longbottom to the hospital wing. Understand? If I see a single broom in the air, the one riding it will find themselves out of Hogwarts before they can say, 'Quidditch'".

She leaves back inside towards the hospital wing.

Draco turns to Lilith, showing her the Remembrall, "Did you see his face? Maybe if the fat lump had given this a squeeze, he'd have remembered to fall on his fat arse".

She, as well as some of the other Slytherins around them, start laughing alongside Draco. Lilith takes the Remembrall to examine it in the light.

Harry walks up to Lilith, sticking his hand out, "Give it here, Snape".

She looks down at his hand, "No". She turns to Draco, "I think we should leave it somewhere for Longbottom to find".

~ Author's Note ~

I would just like to let you guys know that for some parts of this book, like this chapter, that follows the canon story I will most likely be taking dialouge and descriptions directly from transcripts I find either online, off the top of my head (from the movies) or going through the books (which I have IRL).

There will be obvious differences where I add Lilith and certain character relationships but for the most part, I will keep it to the canon where possible.
