Chapter 17 - Give up your heart

" What did you say about she not being interested?" Pei Yan's volume increased a few degrees.

"Just not interested in boys ......," Yang Shao vaguely felt that Pei Yan's attitude was a bit strange, but on closer glance, he was unable to see anything wrong. He scratched his head and said, "I originally wanted to pursue that embroiderer Hua, but I didn't expect her to have an extraordinarily special relationship with that female friend of hers."

The two remained silent the whole ride after that. When Pei Yan had driven Yang Shao to his front door, he simply raised his chin and siad, "Get off."

"Thank you, Brother Pei." Yang Shao was curious about something so when he got out of the car, he rushed to the driver's side and poked his head into the window and asked, "By the way, Brother Pei, I heard that you didn't divest in the Chen Family's project?"

"I'm doing business with Mr. Chen, it has absolutely nothing to do with me disliking the Chen brothers." Pei Yan slapped away his hand that was picking at the car door, "Who are you doing a favor by suddenly coming to ask about this?"

"Chen Sen's cousin and I used to be in the same class ......"

"Why don't you say that she is your ex-girlfriend?" Pei Yan tapped the steering wheel with his left and right index fingers, "You're not young anymore, so it's probably time for you to stop just thinking about eating, drinking, and having fun all day long and perhaps start to learn how to manage the company with me."

"Brother, you are my blood brother." Yang Shao knew that Pei Yan was somewhat dissatisfied with his behavior and wanted to say a few nice words to ease the atmosphere,, but unexpectedly, Pei Yan just rolled up the car windows and drove off. 

" How can any woman stand this quirky personality." Yang Shao rubbed his nose, thinking about Pei Yan's tantrums over the years, and shook his head.

Inside the car, Pei Yan pulled off the neck tie and turned on the car's music player.

Suddenly falling rain crackled on the car window,hearing this Pei Yan slowed down the car, drove through an intersection, saw a familiar figure on the side of the road after, couldn't help but slow down the car.

"It rains so randomly these days and we couldn't even get a ride." Tan Yuan and Hua Jin were hiding under a bus stop sign, "Hua Hua, just sleep over at my house tonight, since it's closer to here."

Hua Jin looked at the queue time on the taxi app and sighed: " Let's go then ......"

" Pretty lady, do you need me to take you home?" A car slowly stopped in front of Hua Jin, without splashing a bit of water on the ground. When the car window opened and saw who was in the driver's seat, Hua Jin was silent.

It's Pei Yan again, this indecent man.

"What are you still standing there for? Get in the car." Seeing Hua Jin's skirt wet with rain, Pei Yan was full of disgust, " It's raining so heavily, do you really plan to get drenched out there?"

Seeing the rain getting heavier, Hua Jin reluctantly pulled open the backseat door with the shopping bag in her hand and pulled Tan Yuan into the car with her: "Mr. Pei, thank you."

Pei Yan looked up at the rearview mirror, couldn't help but turn his head to look at Hua Jin holding her companion's hand: "There are tissues next to you, take them yourself."

"Oh." Hua Jin bent down to find tissues and pulled out two to help Tan Yuan wipe away the rain on her cheeks. Turning her head and  finding Pei Yan staring at her, she thought he was curious about Tan Yuan's identity and introduced her, "This is my close friend Tan Yuan."
