"So...now what?" Sanya asked Chavi, who was busy munching her burrito on the video call.

"What now? Don't you have work? Or do you love watching me eat so much?" Chavi asked her back and got an 'oh get lost' as a reply from her bhabhi.

They had been conversing for an hour now. And since they don't have any more topics to chat about, the older woman asked what to do now.

"I think you should rest now. Must be tired right?" Sanya said and Chavi nodded like a toddler making her chuckle.

"What you gonna do now?" Chavi asked.

"Nothing much...just make up the bed, give meds to papa, and then maybe watch some movies on Netflix since it's the weekend. But God knows where is Lakshya. You see, your brother even works on weekends." She said and sighed.

But Chavi's whole focus was stuck on one single sentence.

"What meds? As far as I know, papa doesn't take any medicine?" And that was it.

Sanya. Turned. Silent.

But not for long.

Siddhant, who was peacefully working on his laptop, was disturbed by the ringing of his phone.

He checked the contact and was shocked to see it was none other than his better half. But what worried him was the time. It was one in the morning. It means the time there is three thirty in the morning!

"Hello? What happened Chavi? Is everything fine? Something happened?" Siddhant instantly panicked and closed all the files.

No one replied from the other side.

"Hello? Chavi?" He asked again. Oh how much he wants to hear her voice right now to make sure she's fine.

"You lied to me." She sounded as if she was crying.

"I-what? When did I lie to you and about what?" He couldn't understand what she was talking about.

"You lied to me when you said one of your colleagues had a heartattack. The person who actually had a heart attack was my father instead." And he knew he was done.

She knows it. And she thinks I lied to her.

But how ?

"But how?" He whispered.

"Sanya bhabhi told me. Oh no, I mean she accidentally slipped it out. I'm glad she did so, or else I would have never known, no?" Her voice and tone were bitter now.

And he winced.

"Chavi listen, I-

"Listen what Siddhant? You want me to listen to you after you hide such an important thing about my life from me? He's my father Siddhant! What if something had happened to him? You didn't tell me then, you didn't even tell me when I came to India? Just...how much unimportant do you guys take me as?" He understood she was right at her place to say so. Anyone would think the same as her in her shoes.

"No Chavi, listen to me first. We never think of you as unimportant. In fact, you are one of the most important person in my, and I'm sure everyone's life.

It's true we didn't tell you, but we have a good reason for that. You are so many miles away from us, not to forget all alone. How could we tell you this and make you prone to worry?

Plus it was Lakshya, Rishita maa and Devesh Papa's decision. How could I middle in between their decision? Sure you are my wife, but you are their daughter and sister first. I just respected their decision and that's why I didn't tell you." He explained the whole thing and still didn't hear any single word from the other side.

He almost though she hung up, until he saw that she didn't.

"I'm sorry. Shouldn't have said the mean things to you." She replied, sniffing.

He let out a sigh of relief.

"It's not at all a problem darling, just don't think that you are unimportant. You are not." He said and she nodded and then realised her dumb move. Then she vocaled out a 'ok'.

"Wait...don't tell me you talked with your family also?" He asked and getting no response from the other side, he knew his doubt was correct indeed.

"Umm...I believe you should maybe, you know, apologise to them first." He didn't knew how to phrase it and ended up saying whatever came to his mind.

"I'm sorry..I didn't mean to pry, I just-

"No it's fine. I understand. I better apologise and talk to them first.

And...thank you Siddhant." She muttered.

"For what?" He asked in genuine confusion.

"Nothing. Good bye. And good night." She hung up the call, leaving him deep in his thoughts.
