when i thought Midori was talkative
i had been very wrong.
she was a mere five
and he was crossing ten on the scale of words per minute.
not that i was particularly interested in my maths calculations
but his persistent talking was starting to make maths
seem like a break.
on the way home
i picked up milk and eggs
and chose a bottle of flavoured water to drink on my journey.
i was sitting by the window
watching the rain that was still scattering itself across the city
feeling the movement of the train surging forward
when my phone vibrated.
みどりちゃん (midori-chan)
hey :) i didn't see you on the train today. maths? ugh. tell me when you get home ♥her words made me smile to myself
and i probably looked like an idiot
staring at my phone with a huge beam of a smile.
but i didn't care
because for the first time in months
i had something
or rather someone
else to care about.
[ah i just noticed this story is #882 in short story. thank you so much everyone for the support! it really makes me happy to know that people actually enjoy my writing <3]
