“when?”
“a month from now.”
i inhaled sharply.
“i can’t believe this is happening.”
“me too.”
silence ensued.
Midori was the one who had reached in
and pulled me out of the darkness
filling it with her brightness
but now
i felt as though we were both free falling
into the darkest of caverns
with only each other
grasping for the other hand
but finding thin air.
“Midori,”i whispered.
my chest was overflowing with an ache
a longing
a wish
that she could stay.
please stay.
“i love you too much
to let you go.”
