"Sora-chan," she said
her voice barely a whisper
"i-
i-
i-"she didn't have time to finish because
i took it upon myself
to press my lips against hers.
the earth ceased to turn
as the ocean met the sky
crossing the horizonfor the very first time.
breathing in each other,
no words for this feeling
nothing to say
but to feel the ocean whisper against my skin
close my eyes to the wonder in front of me
and sink into the depths of
an emotion i could no longer comprehend.
as the sky retreated
and the sea sighed in reluctance
they gazed at each other
from where each ended
to where each began.
"i-"
she took a deep breath then her shoulders slumped
as she looked back at me with no words to say.
"-i don't know."
