- The Flame -

Coralie stayed quiet as she sat beside Jasper, watching as a girl not much younger than them stood in front of the room, her words bouncing against the walls as she tells a story through poetry.

Bellamy and Clarke were focusing on the arrival of Luna, Jasper was focused on the poet and Octavia and Coralie were focused on their surroundings.

The two girls couldn't fathom the fact that there was an entire village living in the midst of the ocean. The idea was simply preposterous but incredibly clever.

The air constantly smelt of seawater and fish, but everybody besides the newcomers were accustomed to it. It made Coralie's stomach churn.

Bellamy and Clarke walk up to Luna to try to convince her to take the Flame while Coralie excuses herself to try to find a bathroom.

She found her way into one of the many hallways before looking right and left for what she'd assume to be a restroom.

"You alright?" A voice pulls Coralie's eyes to a woman standing not too far down the hall, a sleeping child in her arms. The woman looked a few years older than Coralie, maybe in her mid-twenties, and the child was presumably not even an entire year old.

"I'm fine," Coralie thickly swallowed. "Just a bit sick."

"I haven't seen you around, before. Are you new?" The woman asks.

"You could say that," Coralie hums.

"S'it the smell?" The woman questions, referring to Coralie's discomfort.

"That has something to do with it."

"I know what you mean," the woman lightly chuckles. "I'm Colleen."

"Coralie."

"That's a pretty name," Colleen compliments. "This is my daughter, Ingrid."

"Nice to meet you both."

"I could show you to a restroom," Colleen suggests.

"Please."

"C'mon." The woman leads Coralie to a bathroom on the floor above from their previous station.

"Are you Trikru?" Colleen asks after Coralie is done getting herself together.

"Ah, no. Skaikru," Coralie inwardly winces, worried about the initial response Skaikru always receives.
