More people died than Coralie had assumed. A dozen bodies lied on a tarp in the middle of Arkadia as guards picked them up one by one to place them on a pile of wood. It reminded her of when the Grounders had done so to Finn.

She stood from afar and watched with a frown on her face, Bellamy's arm draped around her waist.

"I know it took courage to be outside with us today, to stand together now in the face of grave tragedy," Jaha's voice bellows through the quiet camp. "On the Ark, rain like this was only a dream. Now it's a nightmare because we know it could turn at any second and kill us, just like it did to eighteen of our brothers and sisters, who we honor today. Among them, Erin, Samuel, and Louis. May we meet again."

"May we meet again," everybody says as Jaha sets the pile on fire.

"Too many funerals, too little time," Jasper hums as he walks past Coralie and Bellamy.

"Show some respect for the dead," Bellamy snaps.

"What for? They don't mind."

Coralie rolls her eyes.

"Hey, where are you going?" Bellamy calls after him.

"Wherever the day takes me," Jasper shrugs.

"You got a chem tent?"

"Nope."

"Jasper! Jasper!" Bellamy calls and goes to chase after Jasper just as Ollie walks up to Coralie.

"Hey, have you seen Ace?" Ollie asks, slightly cocking her head.

"Not today, why?" Coralie's eyebrows quirk.

"Last time I saw him, he was in a mood. Now, he's nowhere to be seen," Ollie elaborates. "He's even missing from his post, I don't understand-"

"I'm sure he's somewhere around. Don't worry, we'll find him," Coralie walks off, beckoning Ollie to follow her.

The two girls head to Sector 5, where Ace's unit was. Coralie knocks on the steel door twice but turning the ledge and barging in. He was nowhere to be seen.

"Alright. Then let's look in the cafeteria," Coralie places her hands on her hips, sparing a small glance to Ollie who looked down at the ground in thought. "You okay?"
