I reach to the nightstand on the right side. Turning the lamp on, I reach for my phone.
It's 12:26, I'm sure the stranger would be sleeping.
But the same thought bothers my mind repeatedly.
Pulling the covers above my head I turn to my side, the phone still on my hands.
Should I do it?
He could be sleeping. But perhaps, he might be awake.
Unlocking my phone, I press on my my contacts
And I scroll until I see the name I'm looking for.
Stranger.
Pressing on the name, my messages pop up.
Not wasting any more time, I type two messages.
12:28 a.m.
Bestie?
Are you awake?
I wait for a minute, and just stare at my phone in hopes that Stranger is awake. When a second minute passes, I turn my phone off and reach to place on my nightstand once more.
But as I am about to place it down, it dings.
I quickly reach for it again and I unlock it.
12:30 a.m.
You know, people usually sleep at night.
I smile happily knowing that he answered.

Of course I know that.

Why are you texting me late in the night?

Well, I wanted to ask you a question.

As soon as I see his response I laugh loudly, but I immediately stop knowing that my brother and I have rooms on the same floor. And even though are rooms are on different sides of the house, he might still hear me and I don't want to wake him up.
I decide to turn off my phone, it's late and I don't want to keep Stranger up anymore.
Reaching for the lamp, I turn it off. And bring the phone to the side of my bed.
With that, I fall asleep, a small smile on my face.

I have so many ideas for books and I want to write them, but it's not as easy as it seems. I have to do so much planning 😭😭.
