JAMES

Hanging up the phone, I mumble a few curse words when I feel a shoulder around me. "Hello, mate. Why the colorful language?" I turn to see Alec smirking at me, but he suddenly stops. "Don't tell me, is it the girl you've been talking to?"

"Maybe." I say as we walk together to the canteen.

"I knew it. You're smiling, so it has to be her."

We enter the canteen and walk to the table where the rest of the guys are sitting.

"Guuuys," Alec basically sings.

The others look up at us and greet us.

I'm starting to think that Alec, Vince, Nico, me and the other lads, Nathan, Ethan, and Bryson are going to become good friends. We have talked to some other guys at the school, but we seem to click more with them.

"What's up?" Bryson says.

"Adrianno, aka James here, might have a girlfriend soon," Alec says as we sit down.

"What?" Vincent asks taking a sip of his drink.

"Pardon me, but I think I heard wrong." Nico leans against the table. Lacing his hands together and putting them on top of the table.

"Is she from this school?" Ethan asks.

"Nope, you heard me right the first time. When I saw him he was speaking in a colorful manner, and get this, it's because of that girl he's been talking to. Our youngest one here is growing up." Alec fake cries.

I glare at Alec playful at the mention of me being the youngest one.

A few of the lads snicker in response.

"So do you like her? Bryson speaks up.

Shaking my head, I respond. "No, I don't like her. This dimwit here," I  punch him lightly on the arm."Is just assuming things."

"Please, I'm right. Just wait and see."

"Who is this girl?" Bryson asks, his food long forgotten.

"Oooh, here is the funny part. This boy doesn't even know who she is." Alec laughs.

"It's not that I don't know her, but when I first arrived here, I couldn't find my way home from Elven's park to my aunt's house. So I dialed the wrong number, but there was no response, so I sent a message. The stranger turned out to be a girl and at first, I told her to delete my number, but she just ignored me and continued texting. And so far, we're still talking. But there is nothing going on." I explain the story to the lads and they were listening intently.

"It's love." Alec blurts out causing a few of the guys to laugh.

I shake my head at his persistence and stand up, pulling him up as well by the elbow.
